I know I said I was going to release it during the Sonic Hacking Contest, but due to the hack being mostly complete, and the contest being pushed back a month, I thought I might as well post a demo release (I'm adding more content for the contest release). Anywho, this is my latest hack, CrazySonic. It is a really stupid joke hack. Some may find it funny, some may be neutral to it, some may even want to kill me, but eh, if that's how you feel, so be it. This is certainly not for everyone. This hack is a crossover of Sonic and CrazyBus, plus a bunch of other shit, such as "better songs", "better games", and cheats to change up the gameplay a bit. I'm legitimately scared this hack will give me nightmares of the Animated Series Batman driving the Magic School Bus through Arther's house. Maybe I'll pass on it, for now anyway. What got me laughing was that there were Sanics from all the Dumb Running Sonic Memes in the background, magnificent. Even good ol' Robotnik's in there somewhere. I found at least five different things to laugh about in this; the best kind of single-panel comic.

Was playing through trying to get an all chaos emera...sorry, tire run on Super mode and because all the explosions makes sprites vanish all the blocks on the spring yard zone boss disappear before Robotnik even shows up haha. Maybe I can moon jump with the bus high enough that I land on Robotnik and can just bounce there until he dies and hope to land on the solid platform on te other side? I doubt it haha. Ended up talking about this on my podcast this week. My mates had never heard of Crazybus so I had to try and describe it haha. Amazing that the creator of Crazybus actually commented on it. The 2nd 'better game' blew my mind.
SomecallmeJohnny streams tend to do that, considering he has two hundred thousand subscribers and many of them have their image editing software of preference ready for things like this. And I am one of them.
This hack is insane as hell. Laughed out loud when I saw you'd + - snuck that Chinese pirate in . Genius!
Yeah, tabbing out of the Johnny stream to come back to + - Hong Kong 97 AND THEN REALISE IT WAS STILL THE SAME GAME was my highlight
What I enjoyed most in this hack was to play the Final Zone with the bus. I never did laugh so much in my life. The submarine transformation in Labyrinth Zone makes me happy for some reason.
CrazySonic: Super Ultra Cool Bodacious Radical Mega CD Remastered Edition!!! Spoiler: Screenshots What even is this??? ...hehehehehe, ain't I a real stinker? For the sheer fuck of it, just for fun, I remade the hack as a Sega CD title, added some "gameplay enhancements", ironed out some kinks, and added some fun extra content. Unfortunately, I only spent like 2 weeks on it for the 2023 hacking contest, so I didn't get to add everything I wanted to add, but I did at least get the major stuff I wanted in. New Features New double jump and slightly increased movement speed to help with navigation. Health and tire pressure mechanisms to add challenge to the gameplay. You can run over enemies, but unless you are jumping or rolling into them, you will take a little bit of damage. Touching anything with a spike will pop your tires and the pressure will slowly go down until you run out or hit a tire monitor or reach a checkpoint. Brand new 3D special stages inspired by Crazy Taxi. Deliver people to their destinations for some sweet macguffins. Tweaked LSD mode (previously known as "420blazeit mode") to both make the color cycling less intense and also enhance it with additional waviness. This can be activated through monitors throughout each stage to give you invincibility. Brand new rave mode with a bangin' and "crazy" track, also found in monitors to halve the damage you take. Updated versions of the "better" games with some cool enhancements. Check them out for yourself to see what's been changed New level and boss fight for when you beat the final boss and have all 7 Chaos Tires. You can also go super if you have all 7 Chaos Tires. Controls Bus: Left or right to move, A to honk the horn B or C to jump and double jump, C in the air to turn super if you have all the 7 Chaos Tires Submarine: D-pad to move around, C to turn super if you have all the 7 Chaos Tires Special Stage: Up to accelerate, down to brake and back up, left or right to turn, A to honk the horn.
