I know we're all guilty of something, and I'm sure there are many people on here that are "guilty" of things that may surprise and astound, or just make some laugh (not at them [hopefully], but with them). I've been wanting a topic like this for a while, but hadn't thought of a good way of articulating this.

I've got a few myself - it can be pretty much anything Sonic-related really (though I'm sure there can be exceptions):

    • I admit that I actually enjoyed a lot of the Sonic Underground music when I was younger (but not all of them - eg. 'Cosmic Dance' and 'We are Sonic Underground', ugh!) ^^;
    • I've never been any good at doing those QTE in games like in Unleashed and Generations
    • Until recently (I got a PS3 from a charity shop I volunteer at a few months ago), the "latest" console that I owned was a Nintendo Gamecube [as I'm a PC gamer]!
    • I also own a PS2, and I've only played Unleashed on there - and still haven't managed to complete it (those annoying bottomless pits!)
    • Of the 'popular' (and not so popular) Sonic games, I've never played Sonic Battle, Shadow, Rush, 4 [both eps], Colours, Lost World or any Booms
That's all I can think of at the moment

What things would you like to admit? Come on, be honest... //forums.sonicretro.org/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.png

I had original characters do not steal when I was like 11~13.
Surprisingly, for the way I used to act, I never managed to cause enough trouble at Sonic CulT - a site that would ban you for having fancharacters even elsewhere on the internet - for them to look me up and find out.

Despite Sonic X being hot garbage, I really liked Cosmo and my head-canon will always pair Tails and Cosmo despite her not being canon. Her death was the only part of Sonic I have ever (and likely WILL ever) shed a tear at.

Though I'm not nearly as... 'passionate' about it anymore. :v:/>

-Sonic Knuckles was one of my many cartoon "crushes" growing up until I moved on to sitcom actors.
-I haven't beaten a Sonic game since Secret Rings. The medal hunting kept me from playing? Adabat in Unleashed, and then I played the Green Hill Zone demo for Generations. Haven't touched a new Sonic game since.

    Working on my art!
Sometimes when I go for runs, and I'm listening to a Sonic song that gets me in the right mood, I'll do what Classic Sonic does with his arms while running (the kinda bent back but not moving thing)

I am a 25 year old adult :specialed:

That was the big one. What else

    - When I was a kid I brought my Sonic plushy to school. Actually met a now long time friend that way. I still have that plushy too (I stole it from my neighbor back in like 95 because he had 2 of them), it's beat up to hell and back but I plan on keeping it forever.
    - I whistle Sonic tunes on occasion, I'm sure someone hears me do it
    - My background on my computer and my phone is Sonic 90% of the time
    - Sonic 2 was the first game I ever played (back in 1994 when I was like, 3). It took me 9 years to beat it without cheating and I did it as Tails

Oh yeah, despite SA2B being my first Sonic game, my parents actually had a Model 1 Genesis with Sonic 1 they apparently won at a company picnic before I was even old enough to walk. I didn't even know we had it until I had already played the hell out of SA2, Mega Collection and Sonic R/CD (The PC ports).

...Then they sold the Genesis at a garage sale and I've never forgiven them for it. :eng101:/> They never sold the Sonic 1 cart though, still have it and the case in all of its not-for-resale glory. To this day it's the oldest game I've ever owned myself before I started becoming a collector.

...I used to do the same thing when running home from the bus after school. I thought it made me faster I used to get made fun of for it too.

Edit:??Yeah, I meant adventure style too

I did the same... But it was the Adventure arms-behind-the-back run.

Funny how much Adventure influenced me despite me playing the Genesis titles on my Mega Collection over them any day of the week. :specialed:

  10. I had a Sonic fancharacter way back when I first went on the internet properly. Originally was just a eye bleeding cyan Sonic with blue/green Tails shoes, but then I went and made it more original by using one of the prototype designs of Silver, and I thought I was clever for doing so :specialed:

I laugh thinking about it now, but it was because of Sonic fancharacters that I tried making sprites, and got to where I am now as an artist. So I should thank my younger naive self for that.

I made horrible sprite comics when I was a preteen, including one with Sonic getting mad at Knuckles for stealing his G-Unit CD.

Bitching and complaining about my country -.-'
I do exactly the same thing. The Sonic Generations OST gets me in the mood really easily.

Also, I am a 23 years old adult who sleeps hugging this Sonic Adventure DC plushie. No ragrets.

EDIT: Now that I think of it, I started to like programming because of this community, maaany many years ago, while lurking. You could say I am a programmer now because of Sonic :P

    Trapped in my own thoughts.
Two stageplays, a screenplay, and an album
I never completed a classic Sonic game without cheating until I was in my 20s (though I did finish Adventure at ~14). I've been playing since I was 6. Even to this day, the only game I ever beat all the special stages in is Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

You know that Blaze game idea I've been hinting about that has an Unleashed-esque two playstyles? The second style is Bayonetta/Nier Automata-esque and involves humanization. Yeah.

Past admissions/confessions of mine include being forced to give away my Genesis and all of my Sonic games to my cousin when I upgraded to a Playstation, and I never played Sonic again until I got a GameCube and picked up the ports of the two Adventure games plus Heroes.

My last Sonic game (other than Generations) was Sonic Rush. Which was great. My reasons for stopping playing Sonic involved deeply personal issues with the furry community that happened soon after I got broadband Internet that I would rather not describe in detail. Regardless, the experiences ruined Sonic for me for a good long time as well as any talking animal media. I still can't get through the first twenty minutes of Zootopia without cringing fifty times.

Also, Sonic the Hedgehog is my first video game, period. I got that Genesis for my 7th birthday which came bundled with the first Sonic game, and the other Sonic games came in rapid succession after that.

Me too :O I got it and our Sega for Christmas in 1994 when I was 4 years old. I vaguely remember being jealous of my older brother as he got this Tasmanian Devil game and I had no idea who this blue hedgehog was. Although I beat it in like grade 1 (in Australia, so I was about 7 or 8) mainly because I was so determined to beat it before my brother did :eng101:

-I learned to get past the CNZ barrel with the transformation glitch before learning the proper way.
-I "borrowed" Sonic & Knuckles from my cousins and never gave it back. Of course by then, none of them played video games anymore anyway, but still, I was that kid.
-In spite of all its flaws, I enjoyed Shadow the Hedgehog.

-I genuinely think Sonic 3D Blast and Sonic R are fun games
-I'm totally fine with Sonic being the only playable character
-I think Sonic 06 isn't the worst game in the franchise (ROL is imo) and Sonic's gameplay while not great is kinda fun
-If they brought Ryan Drummond back I'd buy every game he'd be in and blindly love Sonic again as if I was 13
-I don't think Sonic Colors is any good TBH
-The Sonic Boom cartoon is pretty bad
-I'd totally be fine with Classic Sonic taking over the entire franchise
-I would call Knuckles "Knuckles the Agenda" as a kid because I had no idea what an Echidna was
-I enjoyed the Werehog more than the daytime stages

Forgive me father for I have sinned

I've been working on an SRB2 wad during my lunch breaks between bites of $7 caprese sandwiches. Taking my first vacation since I started this job in 3 days and my only plan is to work on that.

I plan to rewatch SatAM on my deathbed. Never fell out of love with it and I want to go out the way I came in.
