Christmas Chaos

Yeah, so. I'll make my remix anyway -- whether or not it gets used for the Christmas Chaos album, it's a nice little thing to do and probably amuse my friends with.

*opens Garageband...*

 

The first thing I thought about when I read/heard that song was the Simpsons' first Christmas special.

Homer wastes all his money at the track and can't buy gifts for the family, but him and Bart bring home Santa's Little Helper and everyone's happy. The end.

 

I changed one word, therefore the story. It suits better, I think; I'd just had the word 'track' instead of 'slots' because the latter might be mistaken for an un-Christmaslike profanity when sung. I hadn't thought much about that Simpsons episode, but it's probably why it seemed familiar and Christmassy

 

"Slots" would fit more, just because it's the Casino Night song. And you play slots at Casino night.

I wonder if my mic works. I could try to do some voice actan.

 

Does this mean I have to re-sing it? XD I don't mind doing it though. ^^ I had a lot of fun doing it, it's been ages since I recorded myself sing.

Obviously a rough sketch. I like the blue lines and pastel colors though, maybe that's how I'll do the final.

 

Fang's getting some play these days. Unofficial Retro mascot? I certainly like him, that's for sure.

 

If had any say, he'd be back in the game series pronto. Not in every game, but he'd be there to shit in your cereal along the way as a miniboss or maybe just kind of like how Knuckles would be a prick in Sonic 3/Knuckles.

I was telling Shadix this last night, but I totally think he needs a Yosemite Sam-esque voice.

Also, I'm up for a Nack/Fang mini debate. Who calls him what? I've always called him Fang, I believe it fits more, for obvious reasons. It fits with the ol' "let's name them after a body part" cliche. Maybe a mix of the two would be best. Fang the Weasel or some shit. I dunno.

Love it, but ... Tails reminds me of Ray... I think you should fix tail's colors.

What tablet are you using?

 

I'm using an Intuos 3 I think. Not 100% sure.

I do technically have a Deviant Art, but it hasn't been updated in almost four years. It's not worth anyone's time. The work that is up there is just...random bullshit. Ugh. It makes me cringe.

But yeah, I post my shit in the art forums, I don't need DA.

 

IMO, Fang/Nack needs something of a roughish, slightly deep dark rouge voice. He's a shady character, therefore he deserves a shady voice. I believe I can pull this off...

Nice! If I could make a suggestion, you should make the shape of a Chaos Emerald inside the 'O' in 'Chaos'.

 

Shouldn't be too difficult. Shadix has final say though, and at the moment we're actually discussing what to do with the logo. My..."version" of the logo is cute and all, but I do think his looks better.

So unfortunately, due to contract reasons, I need to take these down. You'll see 'em again later, promise.
