Character poll on Sonic's facebook page

Because he appeared in obscured titles and in a system almost nobody bought, Mighty is not remembered by many people, some might say that the Vector, Charmy and Espio fall in that category, but because they where so different in design, and they where lucky.

I think Mighty shouldn't be revive, we have to many Sonic clones passings as original characters, I think Sega should stop creating Sonic clones for the moment and focus on the characters they have.

Also about the personality of Mighty I have read that he was portrayed as adventurous but I don't know if its cannon or simmply some fannon passed as cannon.

It's come to the point where it would seem out of character for Shadow to actually do something cool (And SA2's story is one of the narmy-est stories I've ever had the displeasure of discovering).

Argh, I would vote but they want tons of information out of you before you accept the poll app. No thanks. I hate the feeling of having my personal information sold around all these different business's. I vote for Knuckles, because he gave me a big impression when I first had the pleasure of owning a Mega Drive. MD2 to be exact, and the game I got with it was Sonic & Knuckles. It was like playing 2 games in one, and the graphics totally blew me away from what I was used to on the SNES :P I then proceded to get the other Sonic games, in completely random order. After S&K, S2, then Sonic 1, then finally Sonic 3.

 

Tails kicks ass, especially in Sonic Adventure 2

Lol, are you serious? Tails was like the flattest character in the Sonic Adventure 2 cast. It wasn't only his emotionless voice, but also his geeky model and animations (did you see his running animation when you play as him in Chao Garden? It was embarrasing). I feel they did him better justice in Sonic Heroes.
Besides, like I said before, they need to do something cool with Tails to get him more appealing to a wider audience. Like give him some cool outfit and make him an agent for GUN. It would be sweet to see him build machines and gadgets for them.

And that is what Tails (and Robotnik/Eggman) does in SA2

 

Are you serious? You must not understand the whole point of the Tails character—he's an innocent kid who's supposed to radiate ignorance, while at the same time displaying his enormous potential as a technical mind. What is he, 8? He's not supposed to be some badass in a mech—he's supposed to be a kid, and he adopts that motif rather well. I think trying to make him anything else goes totally against the intentions of the original character personality.

Seriously—Tails was intended as Sonic's sidekick, and it makes sense for a hero's sidekick to be the totally obsessed little kid who follows the hero around everywhere he goes and does anything he can to appeal to him. If that makes him annoying, then it's because that whole general attitude annoys you. I think it's kind of cute, though, and that's really what Tails' motif in the series was meant to be—a little kid idolizing his hero. Throwing in tons of faux-badass elements like mechs, guns, and him being a secret agent totally detract from that.

While the Tails character has become progressively more independent as time goes on, notice that he never detracts from his roots. I think it's important that he sticks to them in the future.

Tails already has a wide audience as is -- the female portion of Sonic's fanbase, whom Tails was initially aimed at.

Totally out of character. The one recurrent thing about Tails is his undying loyalty to Sonic -- he would even follow him down the Mystic Cave Spike Bitchpit, he's that loyal. Given how GUN have fucked with Sonic in the past (Sonic Adventure 2), this would never happen. Also, leave the outfits to OMG TRUE SONIC FANS LOLOLOL please.

 

Isn't that Shadow's role in the series anyway? We don't need two of him!

 

Well, I'm not saying Tails should go out blowing stuff up with GUN by his side. I'm just saying it would be cool if they hired him to make gadgets for them. He can still hang out with sonic.....It's just Tails style is kind of getting stale. The same shoes, same hair style..heh.
For example sonic is seen with some different styles. From his soap shoes, to his slick shades and air boots. It's refreshing to see a change of look once in a while.

Actually, as far as I'm concerned, I'd like to see a new "Tails' Adventure" type game. I for one loved the Game Gear one.

Sonic Adventure 1 got Tails fucking perfect. Doesn't matter in what criteria we're discussing, it was the best of Tails.
