Chao Gardens

I love Chao's! I think it would be awesome if they returned in EX: (if they ever made) Sonic Adventure 3 or some other sonic game. Now, as Far as having their own spinoff game, no.

 

I hope they implement some form of a Chao Garden into that Sonic 3DS game.

 

As much as I love Sonic Team's Vpet, I highly doubt that they'll make another one any time soon.

 

You're probably right, although I'm sure if it was brought to Sega's attention that there was enough support for it, they wouldn't miss the chance of making money. Perhaps someone can make a topic about it on the Sega forums.

One reqest I would have for a new chao garden, is can the chao bounce when you throw them, a minor detail but I just think it would make chao abuse more satisfying. Abusing a chao did have many useful purposes. I admit that I used GCN-USB adaptor to get an omochao in the garden and then used the bounce bracelet to kill it, I felt it was for great justice after it annoyed the fuck out of me during the man game.

 

You know what I hated about the Chao? If you raised a normal chao and spent a shitload of hours boosting up its stats, after a certain amount of time it just... died! Instead you get a new reborn worthless infant. Bye bye effort.

 

Mabye sumo digital will make a chao game, they but them in the background of enough of there games lol

Chao keep 10% of the skills they had whenever they reincarnate. Not to mention, if you're able to get your Chao to reincarnate at least two times and give it one of each animal in the game, you get a Chaos Chao. Chaos Chao are immortal unless you beat the poor thing to death.

 

So thats how you get a Chaos chao. Worthless internet guides....

Personally, I'd like the Chao gardens to return, but not at the cost of the core gameplay being crap. Maybe they could have two teams: A very large team for the core and a small team, maybe 10 or so, for the Chao. And a little more to do with the Chao would be nice. A third bonus game to go along with racing and karate.

I've known that since '02 from internet guides. What did you think you had to do?

 

The guide I'd read told me something stupid like "You have to spend equal time with a good and bad character". I was so into that I used a stop watch to measure exactly how much time I was spending with them. :v:

 

That's to get a Light Chaos Chao.

There are three types of Chaos Chao: Light, Hero, and Dark. To get a Light Chaos Chao, keep the Chao's alignment neutral (ie. try to be sure it doesn't have the two nubs characteristic of Hero Chao or the spiky head protrusion characteristic of Dark Chao). To get a Hero Chaos Chao, only let the Chao interact with Sonic, Tails, or Knuckles. To get a Dark Chaos Chao, only let the Chao interact with Shadow, Rouge, or Eggman.

If you're playing SADX, you'll have to use a Dark Fruit or Hero Fruit to get the Dark and Hero Chaos Chao, respectively.

Yes it is. It's also a good place to go if you want to know what a certain type of Chao looks like.

 

Sadly, the lack of new games with chaos has pretty much killed off a lot of sites that were all about chaos. >_>

 

Yeah, that's true, which sucks because I still pop my Sonic Adventure 2 Battle disc into the Wii every once in awhile to mess around.

 

I think they should come back, but with an option to not return to it after every level on the Options menu so the people who don't want it can pretend it was never there.

And since we're way further down in technology, the Chao possibilities could be endless.

 

Hopefully the release of Sonic Adventure on XBLA will bring back some excitement for the Chao Gardens. We can hope, right?
