UPDATE: I uploaded pics into a gallery here!!
    https://bootsonic.wixsite.com/my-site

Edit: The last pic in the gallery should be the warehog plushie pic
    https://static.wixstatic.com/media/...911_334b48c0227846e2830d1bb8cdfab22d~mv2.webp
For some reason WIX is sometimes not loading all pics, so you may need to refresh the page (there should be 148 pics total)

Hey I've been travelling a bit and the last place I visited was Mexico. I was pretty surprised at the amount of bootleg Sonic merch compared to other countries I've been. Actually some cool stuff in there. Everyone's stance on bootleg is their own but thought it might be cool to share some of my finds with y'all.

Would anyone like me to post pics of the stuff I came across? If yes, do you have any recommendations for a good image site that works with this forum (for image lifetime, etc.)?

I love bootlegs so I'd definitely would like to see more! Bootlegs are typically hilarious, but that sweatshirt/sweatpants combo is cool!

Sorry for such a long wait. But take a look at this Wix page I made so I can post the pics!

    https://bootsonic.wixsite.com/my-site

I've stayed in many countries these past few years and by far Mexico has shown the most love for Sonic. This is when I got the idea to start snapping pics of bootleg Sonic stuff (a couple official ones in here, maybe 1 or 2).
I've seen a few Sonic things in other countries but he's pretty rare, even in Japan. You may be surprised at the top notch quality of some of the products here. Please enjoy!

When I start travelling again I'll update with more Sonic stuff I find !

Thanks for sharing. Some of these items are pretty decent.

Respect to whoever made the Robo Sonic and Darkspine Sonic plushies. I never expected that.

The funniest thing was the wall decoration or whatever it was with both movie designs.

On the topic of bootleg stuff, in case we do want to document it, you should take a look at this Facebook page, which contains a few Sonic-related gems.

I won't post all of them here because my laptop died and I'm stuck with my phone, but someone should download them from a computer so they don't get degraded by Facebook Mobile (or you can use the desktop mode from your phones, but eh, effort).

I only attach one of the weirdest ones, but again, since I downloaded it from Facebook Mobile, its quality is only 65%, so it shouldn't be used for actual documentation.

Well, I was finally bored enough to start a page with all the bootleg stuff I could find on Facebook: https://info.sonicretro.org/Bootleg_Sonic_Merchandise. There might be more, but Chrome crashed after a while (whoever thinks that infinite scrolling is better than pagination is wrong).

Feel free to add to it.

Och, Apluś and Ogórki the Picklehog. What the hell did people from my country were drinkIng that day?

I still chuckle when I read that bit "Nasz smoczek poleca" which translates roughly to "Our tiny dragon recommends" .

Sonic as dragon. What, Vector renders werent available at the time? :V

Wow! Some of this stuff is spot on! It’s hilarious seeing Shadow and Knuckles with Sonic’s face though, minus the green eyes. The Clay, the Keychain Plushie, candle, Pop, and double smile piñata Sonics are pure nightmare fuel.

Bootleg Sonic.EXE plushes being widepsread (presumbably because of FNF) is hilarious to me lmao

Since this thread was recently bumped I now have the opportunity to bring up something I wanted to mention when this thread was first posted. I didn’t want to bump it before and now that I see some more recent replies I will offer my own.

That first image in the gallery of that Sonic wallet actually looks like it was based on some artwork of Sonic from the 90’s
    [IMG]
Here is the artwork I am referring to:
    https://web.archive.org/web/2022030...icfirst.png/revision/latest?cb=20171019040414

It looks like the head in that artwork also appeared in another piece of artwork found in a shopping bag:
    https://web.archive.org/web/2022031...img.com/images/g/qs0AAOSwk-tiH46A/s-l1600.jpg

The head itself also appears as a texture in the Sonic pinball section of the Casinopolis level from Sonic Adventure:
    https://web.archive.org/web/2022031...resources/sheets/1/526.png?updated=1460969934

I would honestly buy that wallet as well knowing it was based on that specific artwork since it’s so distinctive. I easily recognized it when I first saw that image of the wallet. Not only that but it does look like it is of great quality as well.

So... does anyone know the story of Harry Potter Obama Sonic 10? This needs better documentation, maybe a wiki page.

I remember seeing this online in like 2009, but have never heard anything about its origins.
