Bit late for me to mention this, but I was reading Games That Weren't today and it turns out someone was recently selling an unreleased prototype of a planned/finished Mega Drive conversion of (the late) Psygnosis's Bill's Tomato Game on eBay for a pricely sum. Keyword being "was". The auction ended on the same day Gasking did his article on it. Seems like the seller chose his timing to part ways with his rare gem as he specifically mentioned that Psygnosis were no more in his listing (he started it within the same period Sony killed them off). It's a shame that I couldn't read up about this sooner and try to see if drx of Hidden Palace was interested in getting another donation drive running for this one. Whoever did get the game in the end, I just hope it's someone with a real passion for sharing and access to a cart dumping device, and not yet another goddamn hoarder!
This happened a while ago on the Lost Levels forum. The prototype was stored on a Psygnosis-made flash cart, and there's a YouTube video from the seller (with, most notably to me, composer Matt Furniss begging for a ROM dump in the comments). We didn't know who the buyer was... until now :| I have links to everything I know on the Unreleased Mega Drive games page I need to get back to working on; if there's other information worth having please let me know. I'll find a way to preserve this auction page as well.
