I've known about this source code release for a few years, but recently I became very interested in seeing it it would actually compile, as I have never seen anyone confirm or deny that it does. http://eludevisibility.org/spacy-funky-bob-source-code/ That's where the source code is (click the download button.) It's for the SNES version of B.O.B. It has a few interesting things in there. I love how there's a label in there named "fuck" XD The programmer seemed to have a fairly good sense of humor in certain spots. It also appears as though it was originally called "Ultra Force" before they settled on naming it "B.O.B." It may very well be a prototype of the game too as it appears perhaps not all the maps are there, and there's some info in one of the readme files that says something about this version not having music or something like that. Anyway, what do you think? Anyone interested seeing if it'll compile at all? I don't know the first thing about compiling a SNES game. If nobody is willing to compile it, maybe they can guide me in the right direction to compiling it myself. I tried a couple assemblers, and none of them seem to work with this. One keeps telling me it's out of memory (legacy application that doesn't like several GB's of memory perhaps?) Another kept having a hissy fit over different things in the source files (things like 'include', and the asterisk usage, and so on.) I'm not sure what would be used to compile this thing.
