It is cool that such a old console is still being supported. I always enjoy hearing about Dreamcast getting new games too.
I don't see why not, SMS1 was region-free, but the cartridges have different dimensions and pin outs, so you'd have to modify your cart slot if you've got a western model.
indeed These sorts of projects aren't uncommon, but I think this is the first time something like this has happened for the SG-1000. Usually it's all Atari 2600 or Intellivision - the SG-1000 doesn't have many friends And even then it's not that amazing - Astro Dodge has been brought to several platforms by this team and seems more of a techical exercise than something like... Christmas Carol vs. the Ghosts of Christmas Presents. Great thing to see though
(what's the point of online leaderboards if there are only fifty copies of the game) (it loses that competitive aspect if there's not really anyone to compete against)
There will be a cassette release too, but yeah, not many hardcore SG-1000 / SC-3000 users out there anyway.
