I've gone over this in the new music topic's OP, but I'll reiterate here:

When you post a submission, it must be in [zone name] [version #] [your name] format. I've got everything organized on my drive as backup, and I don't want any more confusion around who submitted what, and how many revisions they've put into a piece.

 

I use Winamp as my default player. When a track just lists 'Minor Fixes IV' for the title and 'Hidden Palace Version 7' for both the artist and album artist, there's not much that can be done to figure out who did it this long after its initial submission. Thus, people can put their names into the filename itself. It's a simple addition and makes things simpler to organize. It's not that much to ask.

 

Thanks for the notice, got it fixed. FYI, you're up to v3 on CPZ now; I have two prior versions on my drive from you.

 

Without listening to the exact pieces you're referring to, all I can tell you is that the ones not on the list did not have the qualities we were looking for in music for the game. Once it meets the basic criteria outlined for them, it must also be highly gameplay worthy; not everything that listens well makes for a good gameplay track. My personal metric for that has been to fire up a video of a given zone being played, mute the sound, and play the relevant submitted piece over the top. If it's jarring/distracting from the gameplay, it doesn't make the approval list.
