Wouldn't it make more sense if, by the end of the series, Segua is replaced by Soniara due to Segua being forced into a depression by said new empire? And then Ninterdo just sort of becomes an empire run by an eccentric man that looks at bananas. :v:

 

This is a thing that exists, I didn't even know this was possible! Well, that's good! I'm all for this, now when can we expect an english dub because I'd LOVE to see how that would work out.

From what I can gather from what I've browsed so far (spoilers ahead):
(just using the names of who they are based on to keep track of who is who).

Spoiler

Nei is Sonic's sister, Tails maybe his brother.
Their parents and other people from their small sea side village were killed when they were kids by Nintendo.
Sonic can't swim in this either.
Tails DIES. Again to Nintendo solders. Sonic goes berserk and beats them to a bloody pulp.
Mario is seen looming like a bad guy with a lizard pet (maybe Yoshi?).
Sonic teams up with the Opa Opa lady, who is an archer.
There is the odd cheesecake ecchi, but at least it's not loli hahaha.

Our (Retro IRC's) best guess is that it's a personifcation of some character of Columns: the general theme of jewels, the three jewel- earrings, the name itself, etc.

 

what about Neru? Reminds me of NiGHTS. Purple long hair...and the name Neru means "to sleep" in japanese...go figure.

 

Since she uses claws she is probably Nei from Phantasy Star II.

Who is Tejilof? At first I though he was Tails, but there is another character who suits tails more than him ( in the manga,not in that image). I have no idea of who he might be...

 

Common speculation is that it's the Arcade Version of Tetris Sega made in 1988. I may be wrong but the character seems to have a pendant or earring shaped like a tetris piece.

 

The day when an actual on-purpose female personification of Pikachu appeared in an anime has finally arrived. My bucket list finally has one check mark on it. And oh lord, is that Majora's Mask?

So can we presume that this is going to parody the 90's console war, complete with the eventual collapse of Segua Kingdom?

 

This would make it the most depressing foregone conclusion to an otherwise shonen-cliche-filled manga ever.

... Which would possibly also make it like manga Shakespeare.

Yeah, that's probably implausible, but wowsers.

 

Funny enough, my friend and I were talking about this earlier and he made a mention about how more than likely, the Segua Kingdom wouldn't actually get wiped out, they'd become nomads after the console wars.
