I'm currently making a level in fluffy bluff where in the area where you'd normally launch off to the next planet, you're in a wonderland made of clouds, where you launch far distances using cannons. Is that good? However, the goal of the project is to create an extra star for each mission. However, there WILL be world SS, which will have more crazy and interesting levels.
So, for anyone interested, MrBean35000vr and his brother Chadderz are making a multiplayer mode for our fan hack, Super Mario Galaxy 2.5 Meaning, it will be a split screen mode where one player plays as mario and the other as luigi.
That's what I thought. Does Galaxy 2 even have any areas where there's a splitscreen mode for a puzzle or something?
As far as the actual splitscreen part goes, I don't know. MrBean said Chadderz can do it, though. As for how the actual multiplayer is going to work, we found a glitch (specifically, Martboo48 found it) that lets you place multiple Mario clones in one level. This is just my assumption on how they will do this... but, you can control all the clones, so what I think they are going to do is make a code saying that "when 2 mario inputs are present, the controls are mapped to Nunchuck #2, and Luigi model is loaded in Mario model's place". Or something similar to that. As far as the splitscreen goes... it probably has to do with Mario Kart Wii, since MKW models can be placed in SMG2.
I've never heard of anyone programming a camera in hex before. That's something you need access to a disasm for, surely.
Yeah, you're probably right, I'm just not sure how they're doing it. 4 player though? I feel like that's pushing it :P It might make the game crash, even. Two is good enough.
