Amy's Appearance

I think it was the Ring of Acorns or something (I only have the Sonic Adventure special).

 

It started at a Sonic game definitely though *coughcrackerscough*

But yeah, if we're going to continue with this argument, Tails in Sonic 2 was mostly useless as he couldn't fly at the player's will, he's slower than Sonic (only has faster acceleration, that's it) and he annoys the fuck when playing as Sonic & Tails in the Special Stage (bigger ring requirements and you can't count on him retaining the rings because he loves hitting the bombs!). Pretty much the only reason for Tails to be in was multiplayer, really, and I'm not sure many people used that normally.

 

They should make a game with just Sonic and Dr. Eggman. Nobody else because they're all unnecessary.
Edit: How did this go from discussing Amy's look to talking about how useless everyone but Sonic, Tails and Knuckles are?

No, I mean Sonic and Eggman. That's it. Nothing else. The badniks are mostly useless too. They don't make the game more challenging, they're just there to fill empty space.

 

Sonic should just tell amy he is not interested, after all these years her life will feel so wasted :P

 

Sonic and the Black Knight happened while Sonic was on his way to a date with Amy (or he says he was on his way). That's not something you would agree to if you couldn't stand that person. There's also an issue of Disney Adventures where Sonic Team (apparently) said that Sonic is obviously interested in her (could've fooled me), but he's just shy. I don't think he's ever said he doesn't like Amy, just that he doesn't want to get married, which is definitely something that doesn't fit Sonic's lifestyle.

And besides, Amy wouldn't give up anyway.

Personally, I hate all versions of Amy, design and character, but the SCD design of Amy is cute. Just, cute.

New-Amy is ugly, and she acts like a stalker. She was okay in SA.

Well, I doubt Sonic will ever attempt to get into a serious relationship with Amy until she stops acting like an annoying whinny fangirl.

 

I'm not saying sonic is completely uninterested, you can tell in riders zero gravity from one of the cut scenes :P Sonic is just one of those guys who doesn't know what to do or say about it and amy is as forward as they come.

 

Sonic will enter a committed relationship with Amy when he stops running.

 

Old design is waaay better.

Of course, I am talking about both Sonic and Amy.... And Robotnik as well while we are at it.

I know it's probably just perspective, but she looks so smaller than Sonic there. I know it won't be for much, but the way it was drawn gives that impression to me.

 

Her size compared to Sonic seems appropriate given the size of their corresponding sprites in Sonic CD.

 

I have always loved the sonic cd artwork, the best looking sonic imo.

 

Assuming you were the OP, you have no one to blame but yourself.

 

Corny joke aside, in the game, she is smaller than Sonic. Also note, in that image, Sonic is slouching a bit to enter his 'waiting' pose.

Now, if we look at Amy in Sonic X (sorry, yes, I am using that as a reference), she's the exact same height as Sonic, albeit Sonic's spines height makes him look a little taller.

 

I prefer Amy's recent design. Although, that red dress is getting boring. I'd love to see her in her Rider's outfit together with her Warrior feather.
