Do I detect a hint of envy?

 

Achievements remind me of the game Achievement Unlocked...

 

If those people aren't mature enough to handle something like this without going into a rage, I don't think we wanted them anyway. But... We won't have any problems like that, will we?

Shade (who is logged in as guest) tells me I have two but I can't see them. Between my current project and warn level there's a big blank space. Cool though!

Where is a full list of possible achievements and specific qualifications going to be kept?

 

You do indeed have two, are you using the rusted copper theme?

 

Neither of the HPZ Blue themes display achievements, however Rusted Copper and Sonic Retro Blue are fine.

 

I sure hope all the people asking for the achievement name changes stop taking life/the internets so seriously. Unfortunately, if you can't laugh at yourself, everyone else will do it for you.

 

Meh. Might be more interesting when there are more ways to get them. For now its more or less just a novelty.

 

What these things have done, of course, is forced me to use Rusted Copper. And now I'm used to it and I can't go back to Retro Blue without cutting my eyes out.

I was going to ask if each achievement could be click able link to the description but then I realized you can hold your cursor over the icon for a moment and a description box pops up.

 

You can also obtain detailed descriptions by clicking on the "achievements" tab on someone's profile.

I got the wiki restoration trophy, but is there gonna be a generic wiki work trophy? I mean, guys with a large number of edits should have a trophy to show that they have that. I hope to hear you aren't finished creating achievements.

That page has a ranking system which points out who has worked on the wiki and how much they have. It would have been easy to add something for that. Say over 100 edits earns it or something.

 

The answer is no. If there is to be any kind of wiki-based achievements, they'll be assigned on a case-by-case basis—not based on arbitrary numbers which can, frankly, have any meaning in the wide scope of things. A high edit count means nothing if all of them were just correcting minor typos (not to discourage that, though; correcting typos is helpful... just not the same as creating a thousand new pages, for example).

 

Yes, but you can rack up a high edit count by being an illiterate goon and needing to re-edit your terrible grammar five thousand times before finally consulting the spellchecker/thesaurus/dictionary.

However, there should be an achievement for anyone who has to go through the wiki correcting the spelling and grammar of other illiterate goons
