I DONE MAKED GAMES.
It's a great system, actually. Rather than a fat postcount, something actually tangible to qualify a member in some way; although I notice (as have others) that none yet seem related to forum or wiki activity -- are there plans for either of these to be encouraged in a similar manner in the future?

I'll be glad if I never see any joke achievements either.

Just a couple of suggestions,

One issue about the "donator" flags is that as it does indeed credit those who donate, it also seperates the classes of the community, essentially indicating who has enough money in their life situation to donate and who doesn't. Albeit I'm being subjective in this point, it does feel rather degrading seeing the "Best Member Ever" tooltip when you may not have any opportunity to donate yourself. If those donor flags must remain, they should not indicate any sort of class as "Best Member Ever" does.

And secondly, as others have said, there should be a complete listing of all rewards, as to provide people objectives they can actually strive for. At the moment, some categories indicated throw up questionmarks such as "What constitutes an insightful post? Does my thread need a certain number of posts?" or "How does a guide get considered 'helpful'? Do a certain number of people have to use/endorse my guide?" and "How many images do I need to upload to the wiki?" or "How much do I need to donate to get acknowledged? $1? $5? $50? $100? $500?"

You're under the impression you NEED an achievement to be part of the cool crowd. You don't. Seriously. No matter what witty 1-picture-post Chimpo has to offer.

Welp, this.
1. If you can't see that "Best Member Ever" is a joke and I'm just trying to get a dumb chuckle out of you, then realize that you are part of what crushes my soul whenever I come here. FFS GUYS I DON'T MEAN THEY ARE LITERALLY THE BEST MEMBER EVER CLICK ON THEIR PROFILE AND READ THE DAMNED ACHIEVEMENT DESCRIPTION.

2. The reason I don't have concrete things for the other things I'm rolling out is that THEY HAVEN'T BEEN ROLLED OUT YET. When they are, they will be very clear.

OK?

Seriously, this joke gets old after 3 times. Really, you should name it "Sonic Retro Donator".

Someone's jealous that they aren't the best.

Anyway, I'm all for this, even though I'm bound to get no more achievements then the one I kind of stumbled into. It's just a fun idea that can only profit the board as people start to question how they can improve their act to get a new picture... It's stupid, but look how well it's doing on the consoles...

It's not a bad thing at all if treated right. Who cares about the title of the damn things anyway? It's a little picture. Simmer down.

Pffft! I don't earn much of a living, but I thought $10 wouldn't be missed too much (OR around £5, seeing as I'm British and all...). It's not just a case of having enough money in one's life; it's also a case of actually giving a shit about the cause one is donating to and feeling generous.

I didn't donate because I earn a fuck ton (After all, I donated a small amount...); I donated because I wanted to.

seeing a donor badge means you should politely thank that person for giving you a home on the internets

I'm not asking for an achievement, but I have donated some money to Hidden Palace:

SS! Wait! Have you not learned from the past? Look the our rich Sonic Community history and see that A51 once gave out ranks in a way like this and it was the most hilarious board split ever witnessed at that time!

You must be most careful with the kids, dear SS. One wrong move and before you know, Neo Sonic Retro will be right around the corner, full of faggotry and lacking achievements. Ban hammers will run rampant across the lands!

The power is yours. Use it carefully.

Why would splitting off undesirables into a sinking ship be a bad thing?

We'd all have happy lives until we died of a plague spread by a dirty telephone.

Posts like this, while they might be true, just end up tempting fate (yes, I do believe in fate, because more often than not it's a bastard and loves to play games like this).

So, yeah. The power of speech is yours, use it carefully. :P

You guys see net politics and I just see casual lamers QQing about difficulty of gaining achievements on yet another medium.

Things like this are supposed to be fun. Stop crying about your epenises*.

None at the moment I'm afraid.
Meh, achievements ashmevments. So what do I care if I get an award? If their is a "#1 pain in the ass award" then I'm most likely going to win that but only because I deserve it. Then again, as I already mentioned, I could care less about some dumb old award.

Edit: Man, what was I smoking when I posted this last night. I used the wrong word and I added something to a sentence that made absolutely no sense. They are gone now though thankfully.
