.DDS files are the textures. You'd be wanting to open the file with an extension like .fbx or .3ds or .obj
Ok, how do I open them in the Material Editor, I was never taught how to manage materials that aren't built into max just yet. I just realized the textures are loaded, are all of the Kingdom Hearts ones not working properly because Sora is almost invisible lol?
I've sorta been having issues with the 3DVida Printscreen with Sonic Heroes It works Perfectly with SADX, but when I use it on Heroes most of the model data is garbled and unidentifiable Here's a Show of it in the 3DXML Player "Supposed" to be Vs. Metal Madness All I can see of him is the texture's like his eye and just barely see his tail. I cant see Amy, Cream, or Big at all. {Edit:} It dose not seem to work on Saturn emulators either *Wanted Claris's Model from Nights >:* And anyone help me find one? I don't know If it works on a PS2 Emulator. (the ps2 port of NiGHTs only in Japan) Seeing as I have a laptop with a Pentium4 and a Intel Graphics chipset, no ps2emu will run for me. and I'm not sure that Dolphin and run Journey of Dreams.
You shouldn't need to use 3d printscreen on sonic heroes, the model formats have import tools, you can open the files directly.
Really now? I've been looking for a good week and haven't found anything. If you know of any I'd enjoy a link to it.
DFF Import MAXscript by Nemesis, mirrored on my CulTNET space Somebody should wiki this thing. Also, you will need to use a .ONE decompressor to extract the .DFF files, and you may have to texture the models yourself.
Right, I'm all into the Sega Saturn shit. Could someone PLEASE tell me how to rip models from Saturn games, please?
Hey I know requests for rip models rarely go fulfilled, but I'm seeking a ghz level rip from sa2... its for my sadx hacking project. It doesn't have to be a gamerip, it can be a 3dprintscreen or somesuch. I just need something as reference.
You and me both. I'm trying to get a rip of Red Alloy in his T-pose, and while I have a moveswap that does that at a certain point, I just can't get anything to rip it. 3D Ripper DX refuses to even LOAD the thing now, and 3Dvia PrintScreen captures everything BUT the character. Doesn't help that the Brawl model extractor conveniently fails on Red, Yellow and Blue Alloys (only three characters it dies on), and that the Dolphin coders haven't looked into model dumping as a feature, even though it's probably one of the most requested ones.
Well I did not rip this file originally myself or anything, Ollie had got wind of it from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=keYI0etmuIk which he tracked to Sonic Reikai forum. The model was in B3d format, which I had to translate over to 3DS. whew what a mess that was lol...... Vertex everywhere, it actually looked like a Galaxy ! not sure of who ripped it originally. It would be awesome to get into contact with that persion, to see if we could get a few more models ripped. Jump and Nack model. couldn't get spindash to load correctly. may be corrupt. DOWNLOAD NOW!
Bump Posting some of my older rips (download links are in video descriptions): Mario kart ds mario + mario's cart and yoshi + his cart: Sonic rush sonic: Sadx a few chao garden models + shadow chao: Sadx perfect chaos:
THANK YOU SO MUCH :v: Btw...you were on my MSN contacts at somepoint (Tuxmask?)...we talked occasionally, has your email changed? Anyways dude, cheers for the Nack model :v: you are a legend!
carrierhack, mind explaining how you ripped those DS models? Also, would it be possible to provide the models in a format that isn't restricted to just milkshape3d?
Tell me which format, and I'll try to put them up in that format. Ds models have to be extracted from files, since programs which grab the 3d scene don't work on DS emulators. Sadly, not all the [ds] model formats are cracked, but I can rip from .nsbmd files. Also, you have to texture them on your own, I textured those models. Should I post a tutorial how to rip 3d models from the nintendo ds?
Might as well ask, I suppose: is it possible/could someone grab the Megadrive/MegaCD/32X models from Segagaga?
3DS, OBJ, FBX, COLLADA... any of those will do. I know Milkshape3D supports exporting to at least the first two. Yes please, I've been trying to get 3D models dumped with that somewhat crappy NSBMD viewer tool.
