I apologize if this dosn't deserve it's own topic, but it may be of interest to some of you. Back in 2004, a little-known (and mostly forgotten) game called Sega Superstars was released for the EyeToy, a camera for the PlayStation 2. It featured minigames based on Sega franchises that were controlled by the movements of the player. The now-defunct Japanese website for the game featured a sophisticated 3D online minigame roughly based on the Sonic Heroes special stages. Sonic could even collect Chaos Emeralds, and when all 7 were collected, Super Sonic became available. This is what the minigame looked like when it was playable:

I'd love to play this, but it seems I've arrived 5 years too late. The Sega Superstars website, and the minigame, no longer exist online. However, there are several archived versions of the game available here. Unfortunately, none of them work, and the game remains stuck at the loading screen. If anyone knows of a playable archived version, or is skilled enough to get this thing working again, I'd much appreciate it.

From what I can see, I don't think there's going to be a way to get it working. It's trying to load the game, but because of changes on the pages, I think it's either broken, or trying to access material which no longer exists.

Someone should rip this video and give it a wiki article.

God damn it, so that's where I learned to play the Sonic Rush Special Stages.

I might have it saved somewhere in my old backups, but the questions is where those backups might be. I swear If I manage to find them I'll post them here, I'm 50% sure I managed to make this playable offline, along with the Chu Chu Rocket web game.

Now that I think of it, yes I believe so.

I saved it from the original site by myself, though. I think both were Java-based.

And while we're at it, it would be awesome if somebody could post the Sonic desktop clock that used to be at Sonic Team's very first site. =P

I think I stumbled across that clock not that long ago, I'll see if I can find it. Meanwhile, you can download these neat little flash toys made by SonicTeam, circa 2001. Includes a virtual Chao snowglobe, a clock that looks like Eggman, and an Eggman that...wiggles when you click him.

    I don't get it. It's a common PS2 game video.

  12. Maybe he is saying you should get the real game?

Or he could be referring to Shadow...not sure...

  13. The real game actually. Also looks like a good special stage.

Something like this could be interesting with Project Natal and the PS3 Motion Stick (has it a official name already?) .... Sonic 4, anyone?

I believe it is the Playstation Move.
