This is awesome. Everything is so cute in Lego form. I don’t have as many sets as I’d like (I have more older ones) but this is a definite buy. Congratulations and thank you Lego/Sega for finally making a Sonic set.
Congratulations, Roller! I was really hopeful your project would make the cut and I was more than happy to be one of many votes in your support. My daughter recently started getting into Lego, so this will be a great thing to share with her when it comes out.

Will it actually be Sonic Mania branded? Cuz I am going to take that as confirmation of marketing push for Sonic Mania 2 and I will be shutting off my brain before someone tries to convince me otherwise. Congratulations! Okay see you later this year when we're buying sonic mania 2 and our Lego sets
Beyond there being no signs of a Mania successor anywhere, the teaser video uses the generic Sonic the Hedgehog logo (the one used for Classic Sonic-specific merchandise) for the partnership with LEGO Ideas. I think it's likely that the final product will drop Mania-specific elements like the Hard-Boiled Heavies.
I know this is days late but I'm super excited to see this is going to become a reality! I've been wanting a Sonic lego set for years now, and you've done such a good job on this Roller! :D I will definitely be getting it whenever it comes out for sure.
We apparently have leaks for this upcoming set. Apologies if this isn't the right thread, I figured this would be the to-go place for discussing about LEGO Sonic once it comes out. German LEGO news site PROMOBRICKS apparently got the scoop on details about the upcoming set, here's the rundown: Set number is 21331 To be released on January 2022 for 69.99€ "It is said that it will look slightly different from the submitted project" [...] "and it will be larger and linearly arranged meaning it’ll look like a 2D level similar to what you see in game." according to The Brick Fan's translation of the report Contains Sonic minifig with brickbuilt Dr. Eggman, Eggmobile, and Crabmeat There is also a picture of what appears to be the Sonic minifig for the set, which is modeled after Classic Sonic. Only source I've found for this so far.
it’s worth noting that it doesn’t actually make use of the medium size minifig legs that was used for the lego ideas pitch likewise, there appears to be no death egg robot in this set
