I don't like bumping topics which were having no activity at all, so I'll just create a new one.

Anyway, some of you might know my program Sonic 1 - Text Code Generator, a program to edit text in Sonic 1 of any kind (now it does, at first it was just for Title Cards). Version 2.5 is out and I'll list the major new features:

    - Level Select Editor, probably the major new thing. Works perfectly, but the design is W.I.P. Special thanks to MainMemory for this one!
    - Header Generator, the thing in your ROM title. I know, it's so damn easy to do it by yourself, but I was bored. :P
    - Of course, tons of bug fixes, edited layout etc.

Maybe I'll create another tool for S2 and 3. Thanks though.

Text in the Sonic 2 and 3K screens are handled differently using mappings and you would be better using a program like PlaneEd to handle that.
Nice work Selbi, I might try it later.

I'm saying for others to use if they port the LS style over. Since some of your tools don't make it public :P

    Is something wrong?
It doesn't download all you get is a blank page with this on it: No suitable nodes are available to serve your request.

Getting it from the wiki doesn't work either.

My FTP (funpic.de) has downtimes every here and then. That it's not working on the Wiki either is strange... (btw, works fine for me).

    Alright it works fine now.

It didn't work on the wiki before because it downloaded with 0 bytes.

    Ok, bump-time:

Finally, I did something which makes credits title cards damn easy and damn quick. This example took me 2 minutes (with uploading). Works perfectly, I just need to fix some bugs and it's done.
As you can see, I also "tried" to do some form design (look at the black thingies on the corners. This is my very first try to make some form desing). I'm not sure if I'm going to use it though.

Oh and another thing I want to announce, this program will be ported to Mac and Linux. Thanks to King InuYasha for that one.

Wow, good stuff! Sure to make editting the credits far easier.

    Kudos.

Just to make sure I don't get you wrong, you mean "editing" them? Right. I wasn't thinking of this by any chance, so thanks for that one. :)

Fantastic work Selbi, this gets better each time, although I'll probably never use it =$

Awesome little program. The only problem I've found so far is that using the custom title cards configuration causes Final Zone to read as Final Zone Act 3. Aside from that, I've had no problems at all

How about having the "Sonic has passed w/e" text editable? Easy enough to do manually, but it's just a suggestion. :]

Ok, here it is, v3.0! This one is defintly the last one of this program, because I'm done with EVERYTHING. The best reason to use this version is the new Credits Title Cards generator, it's working just fine and is extremly easy to use. I'll just gonna list everything which is in this version:
    • Zone Title Cards
    • "SONIC HAS PASSED" Generator [New!]
    • Credits Title Cards v2.0 [New!]
    • Credits Title Cards (old)
    • "SONIC TEAM PRESENTS" Generator
    • Level Select Text Editor
    • Level Select Text Generator
    • Header [New!]
Now, this is every Tool in this version. And since some of them are multiple times in there but having a different usage (like the credits title cards), I decided to draw the "good" ones in bold:

But why do you care? Just go ahead and download the new Version here:

EDIT: Forgot something to say, I'm going to start on a new program called Sonic 2 - Text Code Generator.

STE really does look more and more obsolete on a daily basis, doesn't it? =P

Always nice to see more hacking utilities.

Couldn't you add a Sonic 2 section to this program instead and simply call it the Sonic Text Code Generator?
Good work anyway, I'm going to make a page for this for Sonic Ring Network's utility section (yes, that site is still in development - only a few more things to do).
