    Most games I've ever played used C as the jump button primarily, like streets of rage. Only comes natural to sonic games.

    The volcano/mountains looks really cool, although it doesn't match the tree art below it. Still pretty cool, and a hell of a lot better than what I can do. Just a suggestion, but an animated lava flow similar to Lava Reef would look nice, especially on act 3. Very cool, keep up the good work.

    I noticed this too a long time ago, but it's still nice to know that not everyone knows everything. It does this with certain other games too, I believe it did that with Aladdin and another game that I can't quite remember the name of.
