Why don't you turn it into original IP? Gunstar Heroes is not as well-known as Sonic so you won't be called for copying it's playstyle and quality of the art is good enough to be a successful indie title.
    Just my two cents.

ah, I want to try out putting a few fangames together before I do anything ambitious like that. Just testing out the waters while I use this as a learning experience.

    Blue Pizza puke "?!"

    Anyways,
I'm surprised she doesn't have a 2.5D platforming game by now to replace Sonic, Seeing as how hot this is in Japan.

that's a scary thought, my friend....

According to Kotaku, Scott Oellkers was previously an executive with Dominos Taiwan before becoming president of Dominos Japan, and in Taiwan he was something of a celebrity as he appeared in all their commercials just like this (except he was speaking Chinese). Apparently in Japan they're really weirded out by this commercial, though. Guess he's not as popular in Japan as he was in Taiwan.

ah ok, yeah it's all making sense now, lol I can definitely see how one would be weirded out -especially with the way YTP made him look lol..

totally wasn't expecting the Taiwan part though

That song is the greatest thing about Neon. That and the ending song, which was pure genius.

Double Dragon Neon screamed 1980s, so a new Streets of Rage should scream 1990s. :)

    Exactly!! Exactly!! Exactly!!!

exactly how I feel on the matter!

makes me kinda wish Wayforward would work on TMNT Turtles in Time, or Streets of Rage. seeing how good they done with double dragon Neon, I wouldn't mind at all. sure neon has it's flaws (that running anticipation animation that feels unnecessary) but other than that it was great!

now that I think about it, turtles in time did get remade right? how did that turn out anyway?
