My interests include ROMs on almost every single emulator (Atari 2600, Atari 400/800/5200/XE/XL combo, Sega Game Gear/Mark III combo, Megadrive/32X/MegaCD combo, Famicom, Super Famicom, Gameboy/GBC/GBA combo, N64, etc.), reading Nineteen Eighty-Four when I can, and basically researching things in general (though I can't seem to be pinned down to one subject nor go "too" deep into them.

Japan, Video games, World History, WWII songs, WWI songs, Spanish-American War song ("Break the News to Mother"), you name it, I've most likely looked it up and into it, if not, bring it up with me and I'll do what I can within my small limitations that I have to look into it.

Topics I've Started

  1. Helped needed with GiriGiri

    04 March 2005 - 12:21 AM

I just got Sonic Jam downloaded and now I can't seem to find how you load a ROM on GiriGiri, a Saturn emulator.

EDIT: Oh sure, just skip over this topic, you bunch of feckers.

If anyone does read this topic sometime in the future, any BIOS and a good Saturn would help me considering I spent 8 hours downloading Sonic Jam just to get the run around by this feckin' program called Nero and GiriGiri. I have even tried Satourne.

EDIT: Nevermind, I've been informed that I've wasted 8 hours downloading it because no emulators can play it. Well, now people still wonder why I even try things like this.
  2. Just a little find

    16 February 2005 - 11:44 PM

Well, fooling around with ESE for my first time. I converted the Sonic 2 Beta .smd to a .bin file, then I edited the Special Stage location on the level select menu to go to "Metropolis Zone act 4". I don't think there's too much difference to Metropolis Zone act 3, but I suppose I could look into it and report on it, if it hasn't already been found, documented, etc. before.

While I was at it, I made Flying Battery, Mushroom Valley, and Sandopolis in Sonic 3 (not locked onto Sonic & Knuckles) actually point to those zones... with of course the obvious result of it just showing a title card and playing the music but the inability to move Sonic.

I'm thinking really of trying to make a ROM hack, I already have the hex editor and ESE, should I need anything else? I heard SonED, TSDC, Lost Library, and Sonik Sprite were good. I'm looking for.... well, with my budget... free utilites. I think Aurochs is the most willing to teach me on the matter of the hex editor and ESE, but I'd appreciate it if anyone hear could help me with the other programs I listed.

Specifically, a link to each one (in private message, if that many links would clutter up the board) and the how-to and basics of it.
  3. Challenges in honor of the search

    05 February 2005 - 09:54 PM

We've all heard of the 25 rings in 30 seconds challenge on Nick Arcade. Well my challenge is to see how fast one can get 100 rings in EHZ act 1 in Sonic 2 Final (Sonic only, not Tails or Sonic and Tails).

Here's my time just as I got the 101st ring.
