Has anyone else got a spine card with their Sonic CD? Mine didn't and this is the first time I've seen one, and the first time I've seen SCD bundled with another game. It's pretty cheap at the moment if you want to bid on it.

I recently got the JAP version of Sonic 1 v.2 and who ever had it before left some old reviews in it. The most interesting has to be this one since it features both Spring Yard and Sparkling Zone as different levels. Also, check out the bottom, it says Clockwork Zone even though it has a screenshot of Labyrinth Zone and of course this name was changed. My guess is the magazine (Computer and Video Games) wanted to get their review out first and just screwed up completely.

I was just checking through some old cheat books I have and remember about this. Has anyone managed to get Sonic to get the invincibility monitor? (I take it that it is refering to the one in the first Act of the Green Hill Zone in one of the trees) I could never do t and still can't now. Just what does happen that is "special"?

I got this from the "Stay Sonic" book. There is a guide to each of the bosses, complete with a picture. However this is the picture used for the Wing Fortress zone section. Notice that Sonic is jumping, but in the final version he automatically moves towards the right without jumping.

Also, look at the score. It's a 0. However shouldn't it at least be 1000 since destroying a boss gives you 1000 points? Maybe the boss wasn't in there yet.

Sorry if this has been found before (I looked here and on the CuLT first) but anyway. On the back of the US Sonic 2 Genesis cover, there are 3 beta screenshots. I’m sorry that this image isn’t very good quality, but it was the best I could do. If you can’t make it out, the top one has Sonic with the blue spiral legs as he runs. I have only had time to scan one of the other shots.
Also, turn to page 20 of the US manual to the game and there is a picture of the two-player game, but it was taken from an earlier version than the final since it says “Sonic” next to Tails’ life icon. This picture is also used in the PAL manual but is so small you can’t really make it out.
