Tiddles, just spotted the 47-minute save screen bug again. I mentioned this on the previous page as potentially worth fixing. If it's just something you want to keep in, that's fine, just wanted to ensure you hadn't missed the report entirely. Cheers.

    Wet blanket alert.

I just discovered the 47-minute file select music bug for the first time, which was apparently fixed in the original S3K. Sonic 3 Complete preserves this bug, even in S3K mode, which I was using when I heard it earlier. The bug was discussed in the Other Knowledge thread, where you said ...

I assume this is technically a bug, since it's missing from the Sonic & Knuckles version of the tune. I always thought it was rather nice though.

... so I'm assuming this is something you've kept in on purpose and don't intend to fix. Since it's really not something anyone's going to turn on or off on a whim, is there any chance we could get this fix as a customiser option/patch?

I do agree that it's kind of a cute error and was entertained upon hearing it, but ultimately (and personally) I'd prefer for Sonic 3 Complete to be the ideal, finished, bugfixed version of Sonic 3 and/or Knuckles rather than one which preserves "funny" bugs. That said, I obviously defer to your preference, and would be happy for the bug to remain included by default. I just think it'd also be nice to have the option of going without it.

I figured rebuilding the image entirely would be a major hassle in terms of matching the original exactly, which I seem to have confirmed just now by attempting it. With my rebuilt ISO with attached header, Sonic Gems just hung on the "Now Loading" screen. The major hassle is that I have no real way of determining what the problem is or how to fix it, so it'd just be a case of repeated trial and error. I agree it'd be a neater approach, I just don't think I have the technical ability to see it through.

EDIT: I ended up downsampling track 35, "Cosmic Eternity", to 22050Hz, since I don't think it's used—even the sound test stops at 33. I don't have access to D.A. Garden, so perhaps it's playable there, but otherwise it doesn't seem to be hooked up to the game, so I really shouldn't ever hear it anyway.

ImageShack downsized my shit. And tinypic outputs in jpegs.; yuck.

No, it doesn't. It just gives you .jpg links after the upload because their site is shoddily made. They're still PNGs, and you can even change the extension to .png and it will work.

Its not even the right resolution. The original resolution of the image is 1920x1080 and its a BMP file.

What are you doing uploading a bitmap, anyway? Convert to PNG, then upload. I'm not saying for sure that TinyPic won't mess with it, but they're more likely to leave PNGs alone than BMPs, because they have their own hosting and bandwidth to worry about. I can't think of any reason to put a bitmap on the Internet. Either way, I'd trust myself to convert an image to PNG more than I'd trust generic image host #343234.
