I don't know what to think of this game. It doesn't run so great on my phone, not to the point of unplayability, but, I notice it kind of chugs along and turns my phone into one of those hand warmers... I'm almost curious to try and see how it runs on my android tablet which is a little beefier than my phone, but this game doesn't seem like it's all that optimized. The only games that don't make my phone heat up are the Taxman Sonic 1 and 2 ports. I have CD on Steam. Almost every other game on android seems to turn your phone into a hand warmer. Even games that shouldn't use that much of your phone's CPU or otherwise seem to do that. I mean Bejeweled causes my phones to heat up like they're running Crisis on max settings. Freaking Bejeweled. However, Taxman's Sonic 1 and 2 ports (and likely CD, but I'm not thinking I want the mobile variant) all run without causing my phone to feel like I should start cooking an egg on the back of it.

Also I like how the options menu (which is probably just volume controls) is seemingly "locked" until you finish doing every single tutorial. I think I can figure out how your game works SEGA, I like to think that I'm not stupid, and tutorials in a level I'm fairly indifferent on. Tutorials that hold your hand showing you how to do everything in the app without allowing me to be interested in looking at the stuff I actually would like to look into? I don't think that's good design at all. Why even bother having the icons there if I can't interact with them?

I'm still a bit bothered by the whole kick starter thing. I know why they did it, because that would get them a lot more people talking about it. I'm just worried about what it means for the future of games that are being funded by developers with plenty of dough to back the project. They could have made a like this page on Facebook campaign or a fancier preorder site. You can't really make the argument of "gauging interest" when you can contribute without buying the game, granted most of the backers have gone to the level of payment that gets them a copy of the game... but with the preorder culture we have now for games (for some reason) I will probably never understand. The one and only time I pre-ordered a game, I really didn't need to. It was Super Smash Bros. Brawl. There was no way I wouldn't be able to find a copy of that game at launch. Pre orders should only be for games that aren't common, but even then why would retailers bother? It's not like it's hard to come by games now a days...

Anyways I still think it's a bit fishy, but whatever, it's none of my business. If they did a port of the two games to PC I might be more interested, but I guess if people want to throw their money to them in advance too, that's none of my business.

I'm 90% certain that the only things Satan has in common with the Christian Religion is that he has a name that, when written in English, looks like Satan. It's pronounced with the a sound in Father (though I admittedly don't know a whole lot about christianity in regards to Japan because Japan is fairly non religious The only thing I know is Jesus is イエス). If they actually wanted his name to be Satan, there is a way they could have manipulated the text to make it sound like it does in proper English. He rules over what the games tend to call Puyo Purgatory. The most "evil" thing he has done is just try to get Arle to date him or marry him and he's never very successful at trying to convince her, and never forces her (as far as I know, either way he's never succeeded) Oh well. Assuming this does come out in the west, he will probably be demoted to Dark Prince again.
