  1. Question for Australian members

    02 June 2010 - 07:08 AM

So, this game I was really looking forward to was released in Japan in late 2009, but the company that made it is Japanese, meaning that they take their sweet fucking time with translating. It came out just a few days ago in Europe, so I downloaded that version, but the company is retarded so the game is one of very few Wii games to run only in 50Hz. Since the developer doesn't like making good decisions, the game supposedly isn't coming out in North America before fall 2010, about a year after the Japanese version, and there's talk that they're actually trying to gauge the potential North American release based on the game's success in Europe, so we might just not get it all since so much of the series' fans are apparently a bunch of dumb shits. Anyways, I enjoyed what I played of the Japanese version, but I made the mistake of deleting it from my hard drive when I downloaded the European version, which I can't seem to play thanks to it being in 50Hz and my TV not being able to output that; however, the Australian version (of all things) is coming out later this month, and I'm wondering if I'll be able to play that one.

    tl;dr:
What format do games usually output in, in Australia? I heard that it can vary a lot, so I'm hoping I'll be able to play the game on my NTSC TV (NTSC console isn't an issue though).
  2. Changing controls with codes

    23 March 2010 - 02:18 AM

Simple question right here: Is it possible to create a patch code that simply changes a game's controls?

I'm a big Kirby fan and Kirby Super Star is my favorite Kirby game, quite possibly my favorite SNES game as well, but as much as I love the DS remake I fucking hate the controls; they modified them so they use the Japanese style, with the A button making you jump and the B button making you attack, as opposed to the original's B to jump and Y to attack. I've beaten the game long ago, back when it first came out, but I feel like playing it again... Except that the controls really bother me. I wouldn't mind having to start over on a flash card if it meant that I could use a code to fix the controls.
