Sonic's Evolution through the years

I've just took a moment to think about it, and I realized that Sonic has changed much throughout the years, not just the eyes and shoes, but his personality too. Now, if you look at the Sonic back in the '90s, and then the Sonic in Sonic Adventure, or Sonic 2006. You'll notice a difference in his behavior (ex. Even though he still might get bored if you don't move him around for a while, he doesn't say "I'm outta here!", and then jumps off the platform you're on, like in sonic cd.)
