Topics I've Started

  1. I'm trying to split up a file to put it onto two DVDs

    03 August 2011 - 07:10 PM

Using Mac OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard with 4 GB remaining. I should probably delete some stuff, but I'd rather not. :v:
  2. OS X keeps thrashing hard disk and locking up mac

    06 March 2011 - 07:14 PM

I'm running 10.6.6 Snow Leopard, and I am on a 1.83 Ghz Core Duo with an 80 GB hard drive.

My computer keeps locking up for several seconds, every few seconds, and usually when I'm in a web browser or loading a web page. It's at it's most prone to lockage when the hard drive is active and making a repetitive noise that I can't really describe very well right now, but sounds like thrashing.

I think I may need to purchase a new hard drive, but I just don't have the cash for one right now. sad.png
  3. Something interesting I noticed...

    07 February 2011 - 08:15 PM

I noticed that for both of the tornado stages in Sonic Unleashed, they have a much more artificial, synthesized sound than the rest of the soundtrack. In fact, it sounds a lot like the Saturn Custom Sound Processor used in the Sega Saturn. I'm bringing this up because Tornado Scramble from the original Sonic Adventure sounds like it originally composed for the Saturn's sound chip, and then just never updated for the release. But Sonic Unleashed was released in 2008, and they should have long abandoned the Saturn's sound chip by then.

Then again, the game was originally going to be "Sonic Adventure 3" so maybe it isn't so far fetched if it indeed started development right after SA2.

    Just interesting.
