  1. Broken Wii?

    A few weeks ago I went to turn on my Wii, but when I plugged it in the red light on the front didn't come on. (Like it wasn't plugged in at all.) I tried a new power cord and that didn't work.

    Then today I thought I would try one more time, I plugged it in and it came on like normal. Then after about a minute, maybe two, it shut itself back off (again, no red light on front) and wont come back on at all. When I disconnect the power cord and plug it back in, the red light on the front will turn on for a split second. Nothing else is plugged into the wii besides the power cord, and it acts the same for both cords I've tried.

    Anyone have any idea what might be wrong? I went ahead and ordered a tri-wing screwdriver off ebay so I will be able to open it up. I would really like to fix it instead of buying a new one as it has all my saves and stuff on it.

  2. Wii homebrew problem

    So I was trying to softmod my sisters Wii. Everything seemed to go well, but when I am running homebrew (NES and MD emu) I randomly get either a frozen screen, or a screen with the message "Exception (DSI) occurred!" followed by a lot of numbers and a Stack Dump.

    This happens randomly while running both of these emulators, nothing in particular seems to trigger it. Sometimes it will before I can even boot a ROM, or sometimes I can play for a while before it happens.

    Any ideas? I think the Wii is running the latest official firmware.

    Edit: I used BootMii to restore my wii to the point right after I installed the HBC, and it's still doing it.

  3. Blurry picture while zoomed in?

    Ok, so recently I got a new computer running windows 7.

    Every Genesis emulator I've tried runs fine in 1x normal size screen, but if I maximize the screen it's all blurry. It's really annoying. I get the same thing when I zoom in on any pictures in Chrome and MS Office Picture Manager.

    I asked in the IRC and Gerbil says it's "bilinear filtering".


    So anyone have any idea? Anyway to turn this off or something? I really hate it.
