So with Sanik not hosting anymore, do we have these files elsewhere?

    Original/Old/New

Sorry guys, but I have to come back to this.

The yellow/black lines are wrong. They aren't supposed to change on their rotational axis, but they need to become SHORTER HORIZONTALLY as they approach the curve to simulate said curve.

    CODE
    / /  /   /    /     /  \     \    \   \  \ \

Just looking at that looks like it's cylindrical if you use a little imagination, does it not?

The "caution tape", as far as the design is concerned, needs not change. It just needs to crush together as it reaches the curve. Just look how the originals pixelated version goes not change the degree of the tilt of the line, but shortens the lines as they reach the curve.

Also, the dots on the bottom are supposed to simulate light relections. They're not there to show "shiny" or there just for show. The engine coders should handle light reflections on the bottom of the ball there.

    Other than that, fantastic work.

Thanks for the advice, but seriously, it's wasted on a Mac-fag like myself, of whom hoards what he owns. Nice try though. :3

Anyway, we're going off topic here. Steer it back to talking about the fucking project, and not what I should do and shouldn't do to play something I might end up being disappointed with...

To a fellow mac-fag: Upgrade. Seriously. The PowerPC world of old Mac is like an old man clinging to 8-track. We have CDs now.

Yeah, what Vincent is saying. You ideally want a solid frame of white noise in there to be true to the original.

And I do not. I believe this is where the notion of "HD" comes in. Sonic 2 didn't have the speckle effect because, well, that was a space saver there. Get rid of it and have more frames for other things. We don't have that problem here. That helps makes it look HD. Thats what makes it look good. Some things should change -- some things should get better because we now have better technology to make it possible. Now, it shouldn't be AS white noise as it is presented here, but thats what we're here for.

Sort of why I'm wondering why there isn't a good HD graphics accelerated reflection/sparkle effect on Emerald Hill Zone on the ocean yet.

    01/07/09 - SONIC FRAMESET COMPLETE!

It's been almost one year since I've started remastering Sonic Character Art on 16M colours Uber shading.
As of Today, 81 HD frames stands into the Sonic frameset V3.0, declaring it officially "complete".

Sweet! Congratulations on a successful sheet, Vincent! :D
