  1. Boss Run ROM

    31 January 2011 - 02:51 PM

Has anyone created a boss run hack for S3K, or any of the other Genesis games?

Sorry if this is a stupid question. I searched around and didn't find anything.
  2. Dragon in Sonic Adventure

    29 January 2011 - 09:48 PM

So, I was browsing through some old threads in Prototype Discussion, and I saw a handful of vague references to a dragon in SA. Apparently a (then) trial member here proved its existence?

I searched around a little bit, but couldn't find anything. If this is really common knowledge, I apologize. At any rate, feel free to lock this thread after my question is answered.

    Thanks!
  3. Drug Abuse, Rumors Plague Sonic the Hedgehog

    25 March 2010 - 01:01 AM

After nearly 20 years of running marathons and dismantling robots, SEGA mascot and international celebrity Sonic the Hedgehog is scheduled to return to his roots in a much awaited sequel to the game series that brought him his fame in the 90's.

In a recent press release held at SEGA of America's San Francisco, Calif. headquarters, Mr. Hedgehog was quoted as saying that “The years haven't slowed me down. I'm running the tracks through Sonic 4 faster than ever, it's gonna be great!”

Despite this, Sonic is seen by many as following a trend set by rival icon Megaman with the realease of Megaman 9, and speculations that the new title will be little more than a rehash abound.

With no solid release date given as of yet, rumors of production delays have been circulating. Inside sources claim that Mr. Hedgehog has been coping with an amphetamine addiction, and his need for speed threatens to postpone the upcoming title indefinitely.

Noticeably absent from the roster of characters is popular costar Knuckles the Echidna. Sonic's enemy turned ally recently granted TSS News an exclusive interview where he addressed this and other concerns.

Knuckles stated in the interview that “Sonic betrayed me. We agreed, back in '96, that we would work together on all of our future ventures. Fans loved me! They still do. He's a fool to leave me out!”

“He [Sonic] was always addicted to speed. I helped him through some of his toughest times,” Knuckles said, when asked about rumors of drug abuse on the set. “Without me, he'd be in a clinic with Aero the Acrobat today. We haven't spoken since the game was announced, so I can't tell you if the rumors are true, but I wouldn't be surprised, that's for sure!”
  4. Advice/Help/Digital Cameras

    15 November 2008 - 02:12 AM

After managing to hold my position as top salesman at both Circuit City and Fry's Electronics, and after a not-so-brief stint at a desk job, I've just started my new job as a camera salesman for a sizable local chain yesterday. So far, so good, I've been learning procedure and even managed to sell a $350 camera already (albeit with only one attachment), but I have a problem: I know dick about photography.

My uncle was a very prestigious photographer, he even had an entire issue of Vogue dedicated to his work last year (brownie points if anyone guesses his name). I've dealt with and sold point-and-shoot cameras at Circuit City, though not many (I was most always selling computers). Now, the shop I work for sells more or less every kind of camera, from point and shoot to DSLRs. They carry most major brands, but our preferred brands are Canon and Nikon.

So, what I'm getting at, is to ask if anyone here knows much about digital cameras. I'm studying up and researching what I can, but I have a long way to go, and there's a sizable amount of information out there. If you guys can give me some pointers on what to look for in a DSLR, a lens, or even point and shoot cameras, I'll love you. For that matter, if you have a camera, and could tell me your favorite features and/or things you most dislike about it, that would rock out too.

Basically, anything you have to say about your cameras, I want to hear.

I'm not so much looking for sales pitches, per se, as I am just general information, and specific information.

If there are certain techniques you like to employ in digital photography, bad experiences, anything, just let me know. It will really help me out.

    Thanks in advance!
  5. Something I've always wondered...

    11 April 2007 - 01:25 AM

I've never had the prowess to do something like this, but I've never got any good feedback on a certain idea of mine.

I've always wondered about the practicality of using the S3K UPMEM for either of two S2 hacks: S3K Sonic in S2 and S3 Tails in S2. My logic is that if UPMEM contains physics and collision information for Knuckles, it could perhaps be substituted and modified to accomodate a replacement of either aforementioned character. I know it couldn't be quite as simple as that, but would there or would there not be some usefulness in using UPMEM as a framework or at least a starting point for such a hack be feasible, or absurd?

As I said, I've had this idea for years, but I've never got any real feedback on it. Any input is appreciated.

Also, if this belongs in Engineering and Reverse Engineering, sorry. It can be moved if need be.
