In Topic: Affordable Laptop for Saturn Emulation

... this line of CPUs really isn't anything special. Just about any modern laptop (and by that I mean most, but not all) will surpass this no problem. And although it was a long time ago now, I had no problems emulating the Saturn on my Intel Pentium 4 (2.4GHz). I didn't play particularly demanding games though; just things like Sonic Jam, Sonic R, 3D Blast, etc.
Thank you for the feedback. Out of curiosity, what are the more demanding games? I would assume anything that used 3D would automatically fall under than umbrella, but you listed Sonic R. Based on the feedback, I'm thinking a laptop with an i5 might get it done. -
In Topic: Sonic CD now out for everything except Nintendo consoles

Well, I'm pretty excited for this. Now, if Knuckles Chaotix on something not the 32x ever happened ever then I could probably die happy. Not to incite anything, but what would the continuity issues be with Tails? Is the chronological order 1 -> CD -> 2? Either way, I'm very happy for not only this game but how it could impact future re-releases. -

Surprise General Sonic Discussion post! Second one this year I think!
Sky High Zone - SongeLeReveur
This... captures the song perfectly. He also does some other neat game covers. This one is just particularly obscure.
EDIT:
I actually wanted to provide some criticism on the initial video. While the cover is decent, I'm disappointed by how the introduction is kind of screwed up. He seems to ignore some notes right at the start. My other problem is how the instrument balance seems off. What I would consider to be the melody is kind of just background noise in comparison to the rest of what is going on.
He's clearly a talented musician, I just believe he should edit slightly better and stick to the source material. I'm personally not a huge fan of guitar covers, myself (I much prefer piano arrangements), so take my opinions with a grain of salt, I suppose. -

To my knowledge, pursuit of individual people pirating games isn't something gaming companies are focusing on. If there is an issue, it would be with the distributor. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I have heard very little of people being pursued by big brother for pirating games. I wouldn't worry about it. -
In Topic: That's a...Chaos Emerald!

I've always thought people believed that Adventure onward was almost like a reboot. I guess that isn't as accepted as I had thought.
Realistically, though, there has to be more than 7. Even though 06 wrote itself out of continuity, the initial story assumes that every game prior already happened. There was that whole emerald having been in possession by someone for around 10 years thing, which if that had happened, wouldn't that imply there would at least need to be 8?
