Unusual question, but I feel like doing a bit of hacking again, albeit simple stuff (adding levels and art, swapping music and level orders, maybe swapping bosses and such in Sonic 2).
Problem is I'm running on Mac OSX, and stuff like SonEd and even disassemblies are unavailable to me, and I don't really want to be running parallels or anything as I have neither the disk space or the money.
So yeah, to my question ~ How feasible would it be for me to actually do any of this stuff? What tools would I need, what would the processes be required, and how difficult would it be? -

I always thought it was some kind of cloth draped over a platform, the effect it gives off always seemed more cloth like than balloons to me.
Actually, I don't think any explanation anyone can think of for this object is going to make the slightest bit of sense at all. Do any of the objects in this stage make sense? -

It's so great to see this confirmed after all this time. After MJ's death I was sure it'd be something we'd never know about for sure. This is fantastic news -

I was thinking of some things to be added, but some have been touched upon already in some form:
Use Pulseman's Volteccer sprite for the jumping/spinning animation, but just edit it a bit. Pikachu's rolling at the moment looks a bit unnatural.
For the spindash charge, have Pikachu crouch and build up electricity around him/in his cheeks.
Have the title screen music be either the English Pokemon opening or Mezase! Pokemon Master - Instrumental of course =P. I swear there was a Pokemon hack on the MegaDrive that used Mezase for a level theme, can't quite think of the name of the hack though.
Have Pikachu say his name upon pressing start, like on yellow version ^^
Have items in Pokeballs maybe? Failing that, the item boxes as seen in Pokemon Colloseum.
Maybe make the extra life image a rare candy?
I dunno, I have a lot of ideas for this, it's an awesome concept for a hack! ^^
