I started out by playing in the default setting of Beautiful graphics, and I found it very difficult to concentrate on my character or see important things like Badniks and springs. Curious, I turned it all the way down to Fastest graphics, and unbelievably, I like the way it looks a lot more. I think it's those obnoxious shadow effects which really detract from the experience. So he's probably going to want to dial those down a bit.

Suit yourself. In its current incarnation it will not be approved.

That's... interesting. Whatever you've got running for the 'baaah-bah' sound I'd recommend replacing for sure. I'd go through the rest of your choices, but if they're all done using that one synthesizer, then yeah, you probably want to broaden your options.

Well, it's definitely perfect for making techno and trance music. Other genres, I guess, not so much.

Anyway, I blew $80 on the thing, and I'm not willing to shell out any more, so I guess I'm folding.

Ah, perfect - now that that animation gripe has been fixed, it's looking very saucy. = ) Excellent work! I think we may have a winner here, folks!

Hold on there, trigger. Both the bottom and top ends of the groove need to be fixed so they don't end so abruptly.

Here's my take on Mystic Cave. 90% of it is done with Poizone, though, so it might not fit the style we're looking for.

I think the idea is the vines holding this platform are supposed to be a bit weak and flimsy, hence why sometimes always the platform falls off.

This. Of course, if you're willing to make enough frames to show the vines quickly unraveling before snapping, your design could probably work.
