    What are the mlt files?

If I'm not mistaken, They are material files that usually contain written coordinates for a wavefront file (.obj).

They're sound files for the characters actually. That's actually how this whole topic began.

Something to note: Just because extensions are the same doesn't mean the the file is related in any way, shape, or form to another file of the same extension. Also, the obj material files are mtl, not mlt.

I feel this little find is worth noting here. After some boredom mixed with thinking today, I ended up looking into SA2's 1ST_READ.BIN and found some models worth noting. The Chaos Drives were in there, so were some musical notes, but nothing quite beats this:

Looks like a camera. And it could be for camera visualization/debug purposes. Here's the address if anyone wants it: 0xEB774

Hey! So I'm back on Sonic Retro again. I made the original post of this topic and by now it is pretty out of date. I plan on updating it with some more useful info, but I am really behind on the current happenings on Sonic Adventure 2 hacking. If anyone has anything they think should be added to the first post, send me a message!

Long time, no see. Glad you're back though.

One thing I've recently been pondering is how to rip the sounds from the MLT files. You mentioned here that you managed to, but it was never expanded upon. Any insights/updates on that?

Nice to see none of my research/contributions before hand were useful. Oh well, I'll remember next time.

Nice work! The work I was doing was starting to get tedious and I just gave up on it. I'm glad you decided to pick it up and actually finish it.

Had it not been for you getting the texture lists back when this all began, Catley and I would have had a much harder time working on the textures. It was also you who managed to find the start locations IIRC.

Where's Gamma's '102'? These screenshots date all the way back to these?

That's...actually a really good point. He has his numbers by the AutoDemo...but not here. He doesn't seem to have it in any of the other shots of him in the brochure either. Maybe they just hadn't gotten around to that just yet. I mean, the Froggy cutscene with the E-100 units are all using Gamma as the base anyway, so it'd make sense this was prior to them having done those details.
