it seems like everytime I use the XP Patch, the rest of my DirectX Apps don't work or take a long time to load..... including Gens
  2. In Topic: Spike bug in Sonic 1

I would cosider it a bug, because it was actually fixed! Sonic Mega Collection includes the Japanese version with the "spike bug" removed as default. You can also choose other versions with these codes if you don't know already.....

Just go to the games list, choose Sonic the Hedgehog and then type in one of these codes:
    Japanese "Version 2" - Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Up, Down, Left, Right, then you should see "JP2" show on screen and then just hit A.
US Version - Up, Z, Down, Z, Left, Z, Right, Z, "US" should appear onscreen and then you just hit A.

Either "JP1" isn't included or I just can't find a code for it... It seems to use "JP2" as the default like I said. I still like the extra bit of difficulty the spikes added originally though.... :)

But it would also make no sense, seeing as Knuckles is enemies with Sonic and Tails during Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles. :P

Does knuckles being in sonic 2 make sense either?
  4. In Topic: BEFORE YOU ASK FOR ROMS

I downloaded it, unziped it, and ran the game and it worked fine...

Try uninstalling, and reinstalling your ZIP program and see if it works.

Anyone know where I can find Sonic Advance 1 and 2. I can't find it and when I do it ends up as a corrupted zip file.

    Sonic Stuff ROMs Page

Get it there, it works for me! If you keep getting corrupted ZIPs, there may be something wrong on your end.
