    That engine does have some pretty big flaws, and they're not just evident by bad level design, either.

    Play a level with a U shaped formation in it and start rolling back and forth on the half-pipe. Once you start rolling high enough to get to a certain point near the edge, you just snap onto it. Maybe it's a quick fix glossing over a more serious bug?

    Also, hills. Stand still on one. Walk up it. Not really any resistance at all.

    I mean, I know it's just a flash game, but it seems like this is relatively simple stuff they should have taken care of.

    The story really isn't such a big deal, though. It's effect on gameplay is nonexistent in Sonic 1, close to nonexistent in Sonic 2 (Though it does play a part in the last three stages), and is mostly used for random scene transitions in Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Regardless of the impact on gameplay, the story doesn't seem like it will be very hard to implement with E02, once it's been decided.

    But yes. I assume this is one of the things the upcoming administration with be managing and locking into place.
