Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Masa Demo Version Tempo
15 March 2013 - 06:28 PM
So I always wondered why Nakamura's mixtape version of Sonic 2 soundtrack was much slower, so I went into audacity and checked the BPM of Masa's version and it seemed to be 1/8 slower than the Genesis's version. Here's a sample of how will it sound if I changed the tempo to match the Genesis version.

As you guys can see It sounds more similar to the genesis version. -
Sonic 1 & 2 Vintage Collection Lag
11 December 2012 - 08:57 PM
So I downloaded the good old classics Sonic 1 and 2 on my PS3 when they were given away "free" for PS+ users. As soon as I started playing I noticed something very wrong. It had a huge input lag, 500ms-1000ms to be more precise. It was impossible to play with such a lag. Keep in mind no other game has this kind of atrocious lag not even emulated PC-Engine games and what not. Is this an error of this particular games or do all the emulated Genesis games have this? -
Genesis Emulator Accuraccy
02 December 2012 - 09:06 AM
So I was wondering, is there an accurate Genesis/Mega Drive emulator akin to the SNES emulator BSNES? Bonus points if its an Open Source emulator because you can easily check if there's hacks to let certain games run. -
Sonic Advance 2 Emulator Bug?
08 June 2011 - 03:03 PM
I know this might be a stupid question but because I bought Sonic Advance 2 from release day I never use it on an emulator till now. I cant get it to run.(Im using VBA-M btw). I get some stupid lines with some music and doesn't matter what I do it still there. I even soft reset it a couple of times. How can I play this game on an emulator?
The Lines in question.
Also I tried using a gba bios to see if its a piracy check but it also didn't work. -
Sega Mega Collection Emulator
09 October 2009 - 04:36 PM
So today I was messing around with my old Gamecube when I tested Sonic Mega Collection, and I noticed that Sonic and Knuckles intro sounded way off. Then I decided to do a comparison with my Genesis Sonic and Knuckles, and it seems that even the instruments off all the songs are off track, and even the palette of the game is different than the original genesis. Is there any compile list of how bad is the Emulator of SMC with all its bugs and glitches?
Also I was using the same type of connectors for both consoles, using a AV selector in order to switch from system while playing.
