Level Design Test
29 March 2010 - 10:04 AM
I am designing a level for a friend's hack, and I am not positive whether the physics engine will allow Sonic to do what I am hoping he will in this image: (The red path)
I want Sonic to use the Sandopolis Zone-style triple loop in order to gain enough speed to run across a ceiling and then around an inverted half-pipe. I am not very sure if this will happen. He might just run off at the end of the horizontal section of the ceiling as illustrated in the blue path. There are no instances in the classic games that can confirm how Sonic's physics will work in this situation. I don';t have a computer that can do any Sonic hacking, so I am hoping that someone could make a test hack to see how this level design will work. The level art and palettes wouldn't matter as long as they form the shape shown in my concept. Instead of a triple loop, a red spring could send Sonic up the wall (if the triple loop would be too difficult to implement in the way that I would like) I would appreciate if I could receive some help with this. Thank you very much.
