    We'd like to thank everyone who has encouraged S2HD throughout its development. Your wait is over.

    The Sonic 2 HD Alpha Release is a fan game entirely developed by TeamS2HD, and we believe our efforts and teamwork to represent the classic Sonic franchise as we, the hardcore fans, have always envisioned it to be.

    We'd like to make a point of thanking Sonic Retro's admins for the great source of support they have extended to us to this point. Going forward, our future involvement with Sonic Retro will be much the same as other Sonic fangames in that we'll be updating a single thread with our project updates and information. With the game's Alpha Release, this means our involvement with Sonic Retro's Community Projects also comes to an end as, in all honesty, S2HD hasn't been a community game for a long time. In line with this, we've now closed out the topics in the Community Project subforum in favor of a single discussion thread here.

    We look forward to your feedback -- enjoy!

If you have questions regarding how something will work in the game, this is not the topic for it -- please post those questions in the General Project Thread. As always, please direct any non-relevant concerns or complaints to myself via PM so I can work to resolve them with you personally.


    Due to the many questions I've received about moving beyond HTZ for art and concepts for the rest of the game's zones, I've decided to create a centralized, open thread to field them. If there's a certain level asset you've had ideas surrounding, or a visual concept you've kept stashed away, this is your opportunity to present it and have it be discussed.

    Important: Could anyone still having problems please run the DirectX End-User Runtime setup from Microsoft's website to ensure they have the latest DirectX files. Two users who have had the same issue have resolved the problems by doing this and are now able to run the standard build without problems.
