  1. In Topic: Sad news about Ben Hurst, SatAM Sonic writer

    01 September 2010 - 10:03 PM

My thoughts reflect in what other people in this thread have said ( Generally speaking...), so I don't see much point in typing out a long diatribe about how sucky this news is (Sorry if that comes off as nasty, as it wasn't the intention; I just don't want to seem like I'm copy-pasting everything everyone else has said...). All I can say is that you have my condolences.

Looks like I'm not the only one who didn't know he wrote Tiny Toons and Captain Planet. So that's at least 2 out of 3 cartoon series that he wrote that I love.

    R.I.P Ben Hurst.

Like why can't the characters be based off these images?

As much as this may rage your inner fanboy-ism, those drawings really aren't THAT good and sure as hell would look awkward if animated.

Concerning the images of Sonic, Tails, and Eggman, you're saying that artwork isn't good? Bearing in mind that they were, if I'm not mistaken, drawn by Oshima, of whom designed Sonic in the first place, so if that's what you're saying, it seems to me that you're virtually insulting Oshima. :3

Unless you meant to say that the style that those images have wouldn't suit being animated.

I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but I personally find the current WIP of Nebula a bit ugly. The cap looks far too big in comparison to the original sprite, it's face is even less visible, and it looks far too stretched out.

I'm not saying it should look like the original, but it should retain some of the qualities of the original. It looks better shaped like an egg than a sphere.

The most recent image looks as though it's been replaced with another since I last checked. I'm impressed with how the fireballs look now. Nice work to whoever created the image (I forget your name, so I do apologise). I look forward to seeing it animated. smile.png

Ladies, this ones for you... wink.png

Much better, although I think it needs to be a little bit darker (As in more reds and oranges). Either way, you're definitely on the right track. smile.png
