  1. In Topic: Sonic & SEGA All Stars Racing

    19 June 2009 - 05:57 PM

I was thinking of a sequel for Sonic R. It's just to me, does Sonic really need a car to race?
  2. In Topic: That God-damned Barrel Topic

    19 June 2009 - 04:55 PM

The first time I played S3 it pissed me off so much. I didn't play the game for 2 months actually, until I found out how to get passed it.
  3. In Topic: Was Mushroom Hill meant to be a Knuckles Exclusive?

    10 June 2009 - 05:32 PM

    Yes, same.

    Sonic 3 = Sonic's story
Sonic and Knuckles = Knuckle's story

Sonic gets a cutscene in Sonic 3, but doesn't in S&K. Knuckles gets a cutscene in S&K but doesn't in Sonic 3. Knuckles starting out on Angel Island in S3&K was almost useless, just as Sonic starting out on Mushroom Hill Zone was almost useless, but Sonic starting out on Angel Island and Knuckles starting out Mushroom Hill fits perfectly into the games as separately-played individuals.

At some point in Sonic 3 & Knuckles I see how this draws out, from when Knuckles stole the Chaos Emeralds from Sonic, to his cutscene on Mushroom Hill Zone, as well as the alternate cutscene presented in the lock-on, as well as the cutscene of Robotnik stealing the Master Emerald.

For me Sonic 3 & Knuckles was like a compilation of two stories, giving ADDITIONAL parts of the story line that were not presented in the games being played separate.
  4. In Topic: VB or C++?

    08 April 2009 - 03:24 PM

I've never seen any use for VB. I was going to go with C#, but I'm going for C++. I recommend you do as well, even though you already answered earlier you were going with it anyways, I felt the need to say it again for some odd reason.
  5. In Topic: Little things that annoy you most in a Sonic game?

    08 April 2009 - 03:01 PM

    *rubs hands*

Carnival Night Zone. The zone that made me not want to play Sonic 3 again for 5 weeks. It's the most unneeded zone in my opinion. The think that upset me is finding out all you have to do is press up and down on the darn cylinder, but how would I ever know? Once Tails jumps on it, he screws up the progress.

That brings another annoyance. Tails, when following Sonic, screws up EVERYTHING. I remember when I first tried to defeat the Death Egg boss (Sonic 3 & Knuckles), I was going to make that last jump at Robotnik when he was flying away with the Master Emerald, and sure enough, Tails decides to fly and pick me up while all of the falling blocks disappear, and I have no choice but to fall and die. My last life, got a Game Over, No Save too.

When going into loop-de-loops at high speed, in almost every Sonic game ever made there's a small chance you'll stop for whatever reason. Seaside Hill (correct me?) in Sonic Heroes and those demonic loop-de-loops...I could've (why isn't "could've" added to the spell checker?) swore I kept jolting off the side into the ocean. It's a small matter of random chance.

Casino Park/Bingo Highway-bingo/pinball instances make me want to quit the game every time I get to them.

Tell me no one hates the Collision Chaos boss in Sonic CD like I do.
