Sonic Heroes Prototype ADX files
09 May 2015 - 11:15 AM
Alright, I couldn't decide if it was proper for this topic to go here or in general Sonic. If a mod thinks it fits better in general sonic, feel free to move it. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has saved the prototype ADX files from the Sonic Heroes Prototypes that were dumped a while back. I do have the MP3's but I was hoping to have the ADX files so that I could have the original looping samples intact. I was planning on putting them in Sonic Heroes PC for the hell of it.
And yes, I do know how to convert music tracks to ADX but I figured I'd try and get the versions of said tracks already in ADX format and ready to go before I decided to start converting them myself. So if anyone has them, could you please upload them? Thanks. -
Anyone know how to get some of these Chao in the PC Version?

Okay, so I was looking at this page on Sonic Cult. Fusion's Chao editor allows you to easily get the Amy, Knuckles, and Tails Chao on the PC versions of SA and SADX. What I want to know is if there is a way to get the others as well. Including the obvious "glitch Chao" If anyone can help me out that would be great. Thanks. -
Streets of Rage 2: Red Crimson Edition
30 January 2011 - 07:33 PM
Okay, so Red Crimson made a new ROM hack. This time of Streets of Rage 2. It allows you to play as Shiva and Zamza currently. He said he was probably going to be quitting it after he finishes Zamza. Shiva plays just like his BKIII: Director's Cut hack version does (for those of you who remember.) Unfortunately, I cannot provide a build for you since I don't have his permission to publicly release it as of yet.
Anyway, here's a couple of videos:

This is the lastest version of Zamza. He plays similar to the boss version. Since he was built off of some script for Skate, he's currently only as strong as Skate. This will be fixed in the future. Same with everything else that looks wrong.
And here's Shiva, though this is a video of an older build. He's been slightly fixed to where he KO's properly and what not:
<!--id1--><object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/P3yVygvXk9s&"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/P3yVygvXk9s&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object><!--id2-->
Other than the above problem he's the same in the current build -
Sega of America's Play-to-Win Contest
05 January 2011 - 02:28 PM
Okay, for those of you who didn't know, Sega of America held a contest back in 1995. The grand prize was 25,000 dollars. 1st prize was 10,000 dollars or one of 90 Sega Saturns with a copy of Virtua Fighter.
All you had to do was play the game that had it on the box in beat it and hope for a special screen to come up. Not every ROM packed with each cart had this screen though. You had to be really lucky.
One of these games was Vectorman:
As you can see, Vectorman's box is quite shiny and has the play to win logo on it. The back of the Vectorman manual (or at least the play to win version.) on pages 22 and 23 explains the contest details and etc.
What happens is that after you beat the game, you get a screen that displays instead of the usual ending screen. Then what you would do is call a secret phone number and address that gets displayed on screen. Then a bunch of other complex proceedures would follow including having the original cash register receipt, name, age, and address and cartridge and you'd mail them to some P.O. box in Melville, NY. Of course, this contest expired on July 31st, 1996. Winners were then chosen by a random drawing according to this contest detail.
Page 23 of the Vectorman manual also has a screenshot of what this screen looks like. I'll upload it as soon as I can remember how to use my scanner (it's still new and I hardly ever use it.)
What I wonder is if any unmailed carts with this screen in them still exist somewhere. -
Vectorman PS2 Unreleased Prototype Footage
25 October 2010 - 09:16 AM
While looking at the MMPR Fighting Edition Genesis prototype footage, I saw this in the related videos. They made Vectorman look like something out of Halo. Sega probably could have released this, had they decided to make the model more closely resemble the Vectorman we know and love. Instead, they made him look like some Master Chief ripoff. It's just so fucking sad.
