  1. S3K Redundancy Fix V1.0

    11 July 2009 - 11:24 PM

Well in regards to people been asking about what I've been up to recently and the fact that people want a lesser form of S3K to work with I decided to release one of my projects. It's a fix for S3K that removes the redundancy found within the S3 Layer. This is the first version so there are some glitches still intact but it's a basic proof of concept just to get the ball rolling. So I hope you enjoy. the File size is now 3.1MB. Download link is below.

This was done using a disassembly I started on after I found Stealth's to be a bit inconsistent to build. Credit goes to him for most of his labels and for inspiring me to make a better disassembly. I may release it when it's complete as I am going to remove the SK only features. I hope you all enjoy.

Edit: Just to let you all know this is version 1.0, The next version will have a fix for 2P mode. Reason 2P mode doesn't work is because the code was left in the upper section where S3 used to be. a simple fix is to simply report and point it down to the routines equivalent in SK therefore it saves even more space. I also do apologize for the lack of S3 music. I am going to Place the regular S3 driver in for the next version.
  2. Chaos Worlds

    01 November 2006 - 12:52 PM

Hi, Aside from CO I've also been working on a SMW Hack that changes a lot in the game itself, I'll show the screens below.

Right here are the Worlds, They are still in progress as I'm doing the world map first.

Now here are some Level Screenshots of the First Castle.

The Beginning Takes place similar to SMB1's Castle 1.

The New Lava Pit with the Falling Chained Platforms make a very hard to pass Obsticle.

Getting Here will be an immortal pain in the ass, This is the First area only, The Second Area leads straight upwards but it is far incomplete as it has a BG Scrolling problem.

Any and all comments are appreciated. Enjoy :P
  3. Cybernetic Outbreak Update/Release Thread.

    18 September 2006 - 06:46 PM

Well it's been a good few years since I really updated you all on the status of my hack. I got tired of Sonic 2 so I've decided to go with S3K using the s3k disassembly I made with the help of Stealth's SK disassembly for labels. I stripped s3k bare and brought only the stuff I needed as I went, So only Radon Factory is in. I have a nice video here to display the engine test. I hope you all like and this is only the first area of act 1. You'll have to keep in tune with the updates to find out what areas are within acts. I hope you all enjoy!

Also I know people will complain about it saying "Sonic 4" it's just designated there since It's an upgraded version of "Sonic 3" so.

    Old Post:

In this topic I will be releasing public Roms and showing my updates, To start off the first post I am Releasing the Music Alpha. Yes it is very incomplete and lacks the levels and objects I shown in previous updates as thisi s only the music version.

    Things to look out for:

Dac is a bit buggy but is to be expected since it's an Alpha.
The songs I ported from MIDI's and elsewhere.
Uncompressed songs are still bugged and will be fixed later on. 18,1C Etc..
HPZ is on the Level Select as Desolate Cavern the only change here is that the Emerald is a badnik that can be hit from underneath.

    More updates to come.

  4. SNASM68K Fake Branch Errors?

    31 August 2006 - 08:55 PM

Within my source I've only got 2 Errors I can't seem to fix because SNASM68K's pointing to the wrong lines or something wierd to that extent and I am wondering if any of you have had to deal with this crap. The Error line will be shown below as will what's at the lines it designated, I hope you guys can help out.

If there is no way to fix this code then somebody tell me how I'd go about converting From SNASM68K to AS.

I am unsure if this is listed but I just watched Nick Arcade show Sonic 2 Beta and Emerald Hill had Star Light's Music.
