promptly shift management resources from fields such as packaged game software and amusement machine. In
the field of digital game software in which market growth is expected to continue, the Group will launch multiple
new titles such as “Hortensia SAGA,” “MONSTER GEAR” and “CHAOS DRAGON” in addition to existing
mainstay titles such as “PHANTASY STAR ONLINE 2,” “CHAIN CHRONICLE – Kizuna no Shintairiku” and
“Puyopuyo!! Quest” and plans for further profit growth as the Group did in the previous fiscal year.
In the fiscal year ending March 31, 2016, the number of newly launched titles distributed domestically in the
field of digital game software is planned to be 47 (including 1 Pay-to-play type and 46 Free-to-play types).

In the packaged game software field, the Group is working on rationalization mainly in overseas and will build a
structure in which revenue can be created with stability. In the fiscal year ending March 31, 2016, the Group will
launch new titles mainly for the Group's mainstay IP including “Persona5” which will be the latest title from the
Persona series boasting over 6 million total copies sold along with implementing transitions of IP for packaged
games such as “Total War” series into digital games mainly in overseas.

In the amusement machine field, the Group will launch new titles for a wide variety of users and markets
including new titles for core game users such as “Kancolle Arcade,” “NEW MUSHIKING: The King of Beetles”
which is the next-generation machine of “MUSHIKING: The King of Beetles,” a pioneer in the kids’ card game
genre and “Nailpuri,” the world's first nail sticker printer where you can make your own original nail stickers.

With regard to the amusement center operations field, the Group will endeavor to strengthen operation of
existing game arcades and develop new businesses categories besides game arcades, of which the forerunner is
the buffet dining “KidsBee Kohoku-Minamo” (Yokohama, Kanagawa) which opened in April 2015, where three
generations of families can enjoy. In addition, the Group will carry out rationalization in the animation film and
toy fields along with development focusing on standard and mainstay products and services to improve
    profitability.
  2. Don't know who might care, but Sonic X for Leapfrog Leapster

    23 December 2014 - 02:34 PM

Posting this ASAP in case of interest - I haven't checked the ROM nor do I even know if there's any emulator for this platform, and I'm downloading a batch of Sega Pico ROM dumps that were released the same day first. But I figured I'd quote this Team-Europe post in the no-intro forums to let you folks know that it seems Sonic X for Leapfrog Leapster has been ROM dumped, and I assume you guys are gonna be working on playing and dissecting it soon enough.

ALSO, dat extracted intro... damn you, Chris Thornydyke!... And WHAT IS WITH THAT ART STYLE?

  3. So it's now the Sega 32X's 20th Anniversary.

    21 November 2014 - 05:31 AM

There's a few other 20th Anniversary's for Sega happening this year as well, but the 32X has the most solid release date of the set, so it's easy to assume the 21st of November in 1994 was more important than the other days. Perhaps not for the right reasons, in retrospect.

I unfortunately couldn't do what I actually might have thought to do for this milestone, so instead, here's a goofy alternate reality I dug myself into:

    Hurhurr~

I suppose this thread could be used to muse about the 32X, or whatever else you perceive as a critical Sega failure.
  4. Megatron Mega Drive

Takara Tomy has done something as crazy as Transformers KISS Play, except foreigners may actually find it awesome.

Transformers skinned after video game consoles. The first major reveal is the MegaDrive branded Megatron.

I wonder how moddable these may be to have actual system-on-a-chips...?
  5. Confusion over Sega Meganet and Sega Channel needs to be cleared up.

    08 May 2013 - 11:12 AM

So, I was running a search for Sega CMs for a project I'm trying to work on, and I found this video.

    https://www.youtube....h?v=9DzctUahM2Q

There is, obviously enough, one major problem with the title of this upload.
It's quite obvious if you pay attention to the commercial that it's advertising Sega Game Toshokan for the Meganet, NOT the Sega Channel.

It seems confusion over the various Sega "connection" services goes back a while on the internet, as in older Sega ROM dats, Sega Game Toshokan was mislabelled as a Japanese XBand BIOs. (And now, to this date, as far as I know, no Sega-related XBand BIOs are dumped, even amongst the XBox fanboys who try to "revive" the XBand via ZSNES emulation... ugh.)
Unfortunately the way I learned this was being sent on a wild goose chase for said BIOs based on the misinformation being spread by someone with actual reputation. This shows how serious this issue can be in regard to factual accuracy and preservation.

I know in regards to the site and specific sections pertaining to this, there's good attempts at keeping info accurate. Yet for some reason misinformation is spreading. I think something needs to be done, even if I'm not sure what. If there was more content to work with, I'd consider a front-page article series or somesuch, but I wouldn't be happy with an article like that if there's no XBand dumps or a Japanese Sega Channel BIOs dump...

    Any suggestions?
