Both came out in 2010, oddly.
Just judging by the tone its likely they both got the riff out of the same loop library.

Wrong, my man. The drum samples used in both songs were extremely common in the New Jack Swing era. Michael Jackson has even used them. The closest anyone has come to comparing Knuckles' S3 theme to something was MJ's Blood on the Dancefloor and Ghosts.
The whole point of this thread is to point out similarities and find songs that sound like game songs. ;P There is no connotation that the comparison means anything, just that they sound similar.
It was created as a counterpoint to the X Artist composed\ripped off Y Game Song because another song happens to sound like it mentality.
