Sonic Heroes E3 build (Gamecube) up for grabs!
23 August 2014 - 12:28 PM
Hi all,
I found a guy that owns a Sonic Heroes E3 build for Gamecube. I talked to him and convinced him to dump it and release it, but neither him not me know how to dump NR disks. Can anyone help? Is the E3 gamecube buid already dumped? I've not followed the gamecube-xbox-ps2 onwards game beta releases very closely.
If anyone knows how, please contact me. I've the guy's email and we can sort something out.
---------------------------EDIT-----------------
Ok! So after negotiating with this guy, he is willing to sell us the proto for 400$ ( plus 10$ shipping). After talking with Orengefox, we're decided the best is to start a donation pool to buy it. So..any contribution will be appreciated!
You can send money by paypal to [email protected] . We've also found a trustworthy member who is able to dump it, so if we get the money, we will have this little one dumped and preserved for all the community
/>/> Let's work all together to achieve this!
-------------------EDIT----------------
We got the money and the proto it's on it's way to the person who is dumping it! :D Thanks everyone!!! -
Sonic Crackers original proto cart for sale
27 June 2014 - 07:55 PM
I've just spotted this at Ebay http://m.ebay.es/itm...Id=131221800931
Some guy is selling his Sega games and console collection. Between the regular games, there is an original Sonic Crackers proto cart, along with a Simon Wai's Sonic 2 pirate and a few other suspicius Sonic pirates. The crackers cart is the original one.
It might be interesting to buy them and investigate,or at least to keep them as part of Sonic retro's collection. I've no money for it but maybe some of you might be interested on it. Who knows, it might be a different build from the one we already have and dven if it's not, its pretty neat to own it.
Sorry for any misspellings and such, Im posting through my phone amd it's a bit of a pain. -
I found a Waku Waku Sonic Patrol Car
05 June 2014 - 05:01 PM
Hi all!
A few days ago, I found a Waku Waku Sonic Patrol Car in a mall near me in Spain . I can't go there because I'm far away for, at least, two-three weeks, but I sent some friends to record some footage of it.
Also made a story at my site, Sonic Paradise, like we did with the Sonic Cosmo Fighter we found at China, so people from Spain can go there and play it too. The cabinet is malfunctioning, the steering wheel is broken and does not turn right being virtually unplayable, but the rest is Ok.
Beside that, I'm planning to go there as soon as I can, and try to buy the thing, with dumping and releasing the ROM in mind. Is one of he few un-dumped Sonic Games out there and I think it's pretty interesting for the community to have. Here is when retro comes in sight.
1)Can you help me with it? I have no idea about how much money I should offer for it ( although I think a price of 200 to 500 € should be fair, as the cabinet is broken, the game is old, and presumably the people at the mall have no fucking idea of what that kiddy ride really is. Also, old cabinets go for around that price in Spain usually). I don't have much money, but I can try to gather some with time, as the thing is not clearly for sale there shouldn't be much problem. If it's too much or the people at the mall are not willing to keep it for me until I can pay it...are you willing to do a community moneyraise for dumping proposes?
2) How can I dump it, if I finally get to buy it? Or any safe and not too expensive way to send it to someone who can dump it? I have nought knowledge on how to dump an arcade board.
Can you help me, please? -
Did TecToy ever release a Master System port of Sonic Drift 2?
24 April 2014 - 02:37 PM
Lurking around Mercadolivre, Brazil's ebay, I've just found this. Looks like an official Tec-toy port of Sonic Drift 2 for Master System
http://produto.merca...ster-system-_JM
I've never seen something like this before. At first I thought it would be just a repro of the Sonic Drift 2 master system port hack someone made here at retro (sorry, cant remember the name
/>/> ) but this looks official, with manual, posters and the regular ad cards. Could this be another Sonic Blast like thing? I foggily remember Sonic Blast for sms was discovered back in mid '00...
I cant buy from that site, maybe any brazilian retro member can buy and dump to see if its original or not? I cant understand brazillian so maybe the guy says if its official or not in the description?
Edit: nevermind, just found its a repro cart. Should we start a discussion about good reproductions of hack games? If not, just trash. -
Megadrive/Genesis trackers?
25 March 2013 - 06:48 PM
Hi all,
I've recently started toying around with LSDj, a tracker for Nintendo Game Boy, where you can compose and play music directly on your Game Boy ( using a flashcart of some sort, or in an emulator). I'm loving it, but I'm wondering...is there something similar for Mega Drive? I would like to use that sexy beast called YM2612 to play some tunes, directly on my Mega Drive through an Everdrive cart.
I know there are Megadrive soundfonst for FL Studio and similar music composing software, but I would like to play directly IN the console, using real hardware. Is there something similar to LSDj?
