  1. In Topic: Sonic Retro visually mentioned in the newest ep of Pop Fiction

This reminds me of when news channels first started trying to integrate the internet into their broadcasts, it usually just consisted of an anchor reading verbatim off of a computer screen.

Considering the way Sonic Team operated at the time someone must have died to get them to actually cancel a game that reached playability, especially considering that Sonic Team usually used the Gamecube as the lead platform back then. That, or someone pointed out that Sonic doesn't need a skateboard to do any of those things.

Some specific things that we would be able to tell from a dump of this: When this was made, whether it was using technology from an other game (due to model formates or whatnot), and I think that model might be unique to this whatever it is.

The in game loading has me thinking that this is based off the Adventure 2 technology. The Sonic Team of the day usually just dumped you to a loading screen for this sort of stuff, unless Shadow secretly had some sort of really tricky data streaming going on that they never told anyone about.

The only thing I think was wrong with it is the whole bit about his BARE SKIN ON HIS CHEST HAVING FUR ON IT. what the fuck.

I'm pretty sure that he's supposed to have short fur on those parts, based on a Google image search, actual hedgehogs don't have a bald spot on their stomach area.

Sonic is actually meant to have two eyes with no visible division between them. It's pretty tricky to pull it off looking right. I kinda feel like dividing his eyes screws with the proportions of his face, like there isn't enough room for a bridge of a nose to make it all the way down and back up again.

I'm not one for putting clothes on Sonic because a lot of the appeal of his newer design for me lies in how the contours of his body remind me of those seen on fast cars, such as F1 cars, particularly classic ones, and a lot of the appeal of his classic design is thanks to his simplicity.

Yeah, that's the only real issue with the goggles. They were there, but they never wore them. Sonic actually wearing them would look good.

They're not big enough to cover his eyes. Perhaps he could wear ski goggle style goggles. And I believe Wave wore her Sunglasses looking things as well.

Hey look, it's a Na'vi with an iPod. Also: really dumb teen angst. I get the idea that it was drawn by someone with self diagnosed asperger's syndrome.

I only really thought of it as a destruction move, rather than a instant-slam-to-a-stop move. That help you out at all?

Well, maybe spending as much time playing as Luigi as I have just changes one's perspective on Stomp attacks.

It's much better to just turn or double tap the stick to stop as Luigi.

Plus, using the stomp to stop? jumping and then doing another move to stop is hardly what I would call natural.
