  1. So, about that Ice Cream in Unleashed...

    14 October 2014 - 06:49 PM

First thing that popped into my head when I saw that cutscene was "I want one of those!". I mean, even if the world split apart people would still be lining up just for a taste!..

    ..that was a bad joke.

Has anybody even attempted making one of these before? I saw no pictures during my quick Google searches, and the closest thing I've found to a recipe was just a list of ingredients on the Sonic Wiki.

I don't know, it just seems like a stupidly fun thing to do. A delicious one at best! I'm probably going to regret making this post later though...
  2. Regional Differences in Sonic games.

    24 September 2014 - 07:47 PM

Just yesterday a friend of mine shared a video with me about regional differences in video games. Among the various video games featured in that video, Sonic the Hedgehog 1 was featured. It discussed the differences between the US release of the game, and the Japanese release that came out a couple of weeks later. Some of the differences included more parallax scrolling in the background, and an extra ring in Labyrinth Zone Act 1.

If you'd like a link to that exact part, here you go -

(Yes, I am aware of how stupid that comment he made at the end of the Sonic part sounds.)

And so that lead to this thread. Other than Sonic 1, what are some other Sonic games that featured differences in their worldwide releases? I know this thread isn't of any importance, but hey, it's nice to just have some laid back discussions like this.

Apologies if threads like this have already been posted, or if I had happened to break any of the rules. I am still a newcomer to Sonic Retro, and this is the first post I have made.
