  1. Russian Sonic songs covers

Did you ever want to hear some Sonic songs in a non-English language? Well, a few talanted Russian fans translated and recorded them.
    Here you go:

I contributed to this one as an editor of the translation. And stay tuned, for there are more songs to come out in the future, as our team is working hard on a few right now.

Hello, everyone! I'd like to present a game, which turned out to be quite unique in some way. I like Sonic and puzzles very much, and I've always wanted to make a game about him. But I'm not very good with programming and hacking, but I've learnt PHP, MySQL and other web-developing stuff, so I've got an idea once about making a game using the skills I'm at least a little bit good at. I started working on this project three years ago. Everything was written from scratch in the notepad++. The game went through a lot of hardpships on its way, but yesterday, I finally finished it.
I wrote all the code and my husband, Razor, made the images I described. I'd like to make a reminder here as not one of us is a good artist. And I didn't have any time, since the coding, the ideas and the writing (in both Russian and English language) were on me. So Razor just googled and edited the pictures he found on the Internet. Only sometimes I drew something myself. So if there turns out to be anyone, who sees their art and wants it to be taken down or credited in some way, please, contact me immediately, and I'll fix it.
I tried my best to translate the game to English, but I might've messed something up. If you'd care to point and fix some mistakes in my English, I'd be very grateful if you do so.
Now, about the game itself. It's actually like some kind of an interactive fanfic. There are games, which require some thinking. Everyone's puzzles will be a bit different thanks to a randomizer. So telling a person in need of help to press some particular buttons won't do any good, because it works differently for everyone. The only way to solve some of these puzzles, is to figure out the concept of each particular one. Once you get the concept, it's going to be quite easy to figure out what to do with any kind of state of things.
Everyone is very welcome to try and deduce things together, but I'd rather you to post things you know how to solve inside a spoiler. If you are really stuck and want my help, I'll happily send you hints via PM.
Also there might be some minor problems with the site of the game, because I'm using a free hosting, and it has some troublesome restrictions and is a bit slow sometimes. Too bad, but I can't do anything about it. Also if you stumble upon any bug, please, send me a screenshot of it. I'll be very grateful.
This project took a lot of effort, and I'm unbelievably happy to finally have it finished after three long years and with so many thousands of rows of the code written.
I'll be very happy, if there are people, who'd find this game interesting.
Thanks for your time and your attention!
  3. Sonic: The Challenges

Hello there everyone! We, Razor & Zenon, really love classic Sonic games. From time to time we completed them together either in co-op mode (S3&K) or taking turns, but there still was so much to these games, so we decided to complete them in some other, unnatural and interesting ways.

That's how we got the idea of coming up with challenges and completing them together. One of the goals was to clear every entire level without collecting a single ring. It means that collecting a few rings and losing them before the end of the act won't work for this challenge.

In the very beginning we just picked up some acts of S3&K randomly and challenged each other to make it to the goal, carrying as little rings as possible, because back then we had no idea if it's doable in other acts at all. After a few successful ringless walkthoughs we decided to make a complete one no matter what. And we started searching for the most crazy ways to do it, even if at the first glance it seemed impossible.

It took us quite some time to make it, as it took a lot of thinking and, what's really important too, carrying these plans out.
Sometimes we had to TAS, because there are places which require implementation of very difficult tricks.

Our other goal was to use only Sonic as often as possible, along with zipping through objects glitches, but there are some areas that cannot be completed without either Tails or zips or even both. Though their usage tends to a minimum.

It was very fun, so after completing S3&K we started working on other games as well.

We also came up with an interesting way to play classic Sonic games when we were living in different countries: using Kega Fusion netplay we set up the controls so we could both control the first player and decided that one of us would only control the movements (d-pad) and the other one would control the jump buttons. It was very fun to complete the games in such manner, although we didn't make videos of it since it wouldn't be very intertaining. Although if you have someone who wants to play this way with you - we highly recommend it, since it's really fun!

We made more and more challenges for each other, some of which can be seen in the videos below. If anyone's interested in the process of making them, we'd love to answer any questions.

We look forward to the challenges anyone else can come up with and complete, or challenge us to do them.
